I thought it was funny.I've never been a fan of Green. He boxed safe everytime I seen him except for the Codrington fight. He kept his hands low the entire fight until he got caught and he paid for it.Watching the 3rd round made me think of what he did to Jaidon.Maybe this will make him a better fighter because he does have a lot of natural talent fast hand and power and he is a good boxer. He did show a lot of heart in this fight to be badly hurt and dropped and come back to ko McCrary.
Spoiler: Allan Green fight

C'mon, man...I agree with what you are saying to a degree, but it doesnt apply in this instance. First of all, how was this opponent a 'test' for Green? We're talking about a former sparring partner who came in with 3 losses on late notice. I agree that he showed a lot of heart to get up and KO the guy, especially since the way he went down looked bad. But what I think what people here are saying is that he was exposed in the fact that he took his opponent lightly. Whether you are a fighter or a real knowledgeable or hardcore fan, you know that in this sport the last thing you should do is overlook your opponent. He came in, thinking it would be a cakewalk, his hands low. If he thinks he's invincible, he has been 'exposed'. I like Green and I think he could be world champ someday, but what I think was 'exposed' last night was his attitude towards his opponent. I didnt see any technique problems that someone can exploit; and Green is known to take criticism positively and work on his flaws to his advantage. Hopefully, he learned that there is no guaranteed win in the sport, and that no matter who is across from him in the ring, he needs to bring his A game.Originally posted by JoeTheRock7Sometimes i can't stand boxing forums for this exact reason. Boxing people are some of the worst fans and spectators. If a guy wins and wins and is never tested you question him. But if a guy makes a mistake gets tested then bounces back and knocks the guy's head off you say he was exposed. Come on guys lets take a second and think before we make ****** ass comments. It's ****** he got caught with a hard shot by a guy that was once his sparring partner. The most important thing is that he got back up and knocked him the *** out.Comment

Green's opponent was not even supposed to be in the ring. You could tell from round one that he was scared and all hed did was back up until he caught Green with that good punch. Green's chin was exposed and this is a guy who wasnts to fight Calzaghe...........................Green probably coulnd't make it pass Lacy.Comment

Green has always fought too straight-up. Saying he would lose to Lacy/Calzaghe/Kessler is a given.Comment

I can't believe he let a yard boy like McCrary touch his chin like that. People here are just going oh **** oh ****, Green almost got ktfo, but aren't saying what really happened so I will.
Green KD's McCrary with a nice liver punch. Looked similar to Hopkins ko of DLH.
McCrary gets up and Green lets the leather go thinking his man is hurt. McCrary get inside and alot like Corley vs Mayweather when MW got stuck, Green just got caught on the inside with a left hook that dazed him enough to where his hands stayed down, then McCrary landed a BIG RIGHT HOOK AND GREEN, MUST HAVe A TERRIBLE CHIN BECAUSE HE WAS ACTUALLY UNCONSCIOUS FOR A SECOND OR TWO WHILE HE WAS STANDING, IT APPEARED.Comment

When the right hook landed Joe Testicle Tessitore was going out of his box, it was great stuff...taped it all. he was like THIS COULD BE THE BIGGEST UPSET IN YEARS at the top of his voice, lol.Comment

I don't think Green is overrated at all. You don't say a guy is overrated when you see him take a good shot like that. Green's handspeed and power isn't his only talent, he has a good jab and knows how to use it. It was very interesting how a yard boy who knew how to move to his left and had a good jab of his own frustrated him though. The way he got caught was so lucky for yard boy. He decided to mix it up on the inside after he hurt the guy and that's the only reason he got caught, now if he had gotten dominated for a while in the fight by a yard boy you could call him overrated but yea.Originally posted by pbds.....He is back in control but still looks vulnerable to possibly get caught again. Man this guy was overated.
Another thing to think about, is if Green is overrated, think about how overrated Codrington was...Comment

Allan Green are just a ****ing overrated loser,he will never beat any fighter i SMW top 30.Allan Green best opponent was Jaidon Codrington(World Rank 53)
And Green is nothing more than the next SMW hype from the states. First Lacy now Green. One is without boxing skills and the other has the weakest chin of SMWComment
