Hayemaker Promotions have added Alexander Dimitrenko (38-2, 24 KOs) to the "Haye Day" bill on May 21 at London's O2 Arena. The former EBU heavyweight titlist will meet Shannon "The Cannon" Briggs (59-6-1, 52 early) on the undercard of David Haye's fight against Arnold Gjergjaj-the winner of Briggs-Dimitrenko will meet Haye later this year.

Good stuff. I just hope Dimitrenko doesn't faint again.

This is the best opponent Briggs has faced since Vitali Klitschko back in 2010, 6 years ago. I have my doubts we will see Haye vs Briggs later this year.

Briggs age + poor opposition his past fights in FL gives him a difficult up hill climb...I'll go w/the Russian...

I don't know about that. Dimentrenko was getting walked down by pop gun punching Eddie Chambers.

I don't get the Briggs camp at all. He probably isn't being offered more than what he could have gotten to fight Baby Klit or Van Wilder so why not fight them rather than Dimentrenko, who if you lose to your career is effectively over as a draw.
