With Khan set to make $13M+ is it safe to say GGG would net $20M+ against Canelo?

$13m guarantee? That's bananas.
At least he'll be set after he wins this fight should he choose to retire.Comment

BTW, you watching the fight this weekend? Can't believe that it's 5 days away. I also can't believe that it's gonna be a year since Floyd and Manny traded leather. WOW! Year went by fast.Comment

I think Canelo-Khan will do like 650K-700K and Canelo-GGG would do at least 1.5M homes. That's a significant difference. The ticket prices would also be much higher because of the quality of the matchup. You're right about that UK money doe. I'm sure the fight would still be a PPV over there too though.Comment

Do people really think Canelo vs Khan will do more or the same as Canelo vs GGG?

I think it brings in less overall though because the UK interest would not be there and that is real money.
It would have to do a lot better in the US for Golovkin to clear more than Khan is making. It is possible but it really doesn't matter anyway because it is clearly Golovkin's highest possible earning fight 8,10,13,15 or 20 all would be b far his biggest payday.Comment

I agree. The day he steps in the ring with Ward, Lara, Canelo, or Ramirez.... his ass will get exposed, and we'll see Jim Lampley crying on live t.v.

Amir Khan Stands To Pocket 13 Million in Canelo Showdown
Keep in mind the $13M is the guarantee. It says in the article that he could make even more on the back end when everything is said and done. You would have to assume he'd take some of the U.S. PPV money too even though it's not mentioned.
Team Golovkin might seriously want to reconsider their "not going to 155lbs" stance for Canelo. It's clear to me that Canelo won't budge on the weight, so essentially Team GGG will be throwing away 20-30 million for avoiding the fight at that weight. A weight that his team said they'd go down to, to fight Floyd Mayweather (154 lbs).Comment

Obviously he wouldn't take home all of it, he'd have to split it in many different ways. But I wonder how high the actual guarantee would be and how much he'd end up making after the PPV #s come out.Comment

that is an awesome fcking deal for khan.
GGG doesnt have the british fanbase and media the way khan has doe.
GGG really needs to do something to up his Q rating.
i suggest going the islamist villain guy route.
just start criticizing american foreign policy. attack the gays. go the villain route like floyd if you're not gonna fight anybody threatening until you get the canelo fight.
knocking out bums is not enough unless you just want to stay mr. 97k for your entire career.
attack the gays and go islamist is my suggestion.Comment
