Thats your opinion and you're entitled to it, but there is no need to go calling me ignorant because my opinion is different. Gokovkin is worth $25M, so if he is going to be struggling as an old man, he needs a financial advisor more than another paycheck to squander. Most people would never have to work another day of life with that kind of money. I guess its a lot easier to just say "throw your argument out the window", than actually try ti debate the merits of it. Interesting, since my argument is a mathematical one. You, being a "money first" guy, should have no problems debating numbers and figures. Some people fight for gold. Some fight for glory...

You guys who keep bringing up principle don't seem to understand... most fans (including me) get that argument. It's the part where you 'principle' fans won't accept the 'It's the money' argument. And BTW I doubt GGG is worth 25 mil. And I've watched a bunch of his fights and kept up with him for a long time. Doesn't matter, like Gene Simmons and many other rich have said... you can never make too much money. Ward did the same, called out Floyd at 160 and said he would go to 160 only for Floyd.

He has been avoided in his own division. It was pretty much clear that Quillin Martinez then Cotto wanted no part of GGG.

Again he might avoid bigger men at 168 and avoid draining himself to 155 or 154 but the real deal is about fighting the 3 other belt holders, that's basically what he has to do.

One is kidnapping the WBC belt fighting a WW at 155.

As usual, you make some fair points, and you are honest.

Golovkin is obviously playing the exact same risk/reward game as everyone else...... some guys are avoiding Golovkin, but Golovkin is also avoiding the guys he doesn't wanna fight.

The Ward/Mayweather thing..... simply cannot be taken seriously.

Those guys were 3 divisions apart, 4 now, so that fight was NEVER realistic.

Ward publicly addressed the issue..... he stated that he never considered pursuing a Mayweather fight, that the fight is totally unrealistic and will never happen, and that he cannot make 160.....

We call this "ducking". You create a set of ******ed circumstances your opponents must adhere to which filters out anyone serious and instead gets you Amir Khan for the world middleweight title.

Thats a lot more friendly tone than "I cant believe the ignorance" and "throw the rest of your argument out the window". Im not sure why you were offended, I never even addressed you. You were the one coming at me calling me ignorant for not seeing the greed factor.

Its interesting that you expect Golovkin to donate to retired boxers and brain research. I hope you are asking fighters like Manny and Floyd to donate their earnings, which far surpass Gennady, to make the same donations. Maybe Canelo can donate some of his earnings against a welterweight for the middleweight belt to research.
