    Just a point regarding this.....
    " 155 isn't a catchweight, it's Caneloweight ".

So, when considering Mayweather, a catchweight is acceptable..... but not a HIGHER catchweight, simply because of the opponent..... not sure if I can swing with that one...... if Golovkin can make 154, then he can make 154.

That is kinda like Golovkin fighting Froch at 168, but then demanding 164 for Ward..... which was basically Golovkin-weight.

Also, to Canelo..... 160 is Golovkin-weight.

If Golovkin can make 154 and be healthy, then whats the problem ?

If he can't make 154 and be healthy..... then he sure as hell wasn't gonna beat Mayweather.
If Floyd could fight Oscar and Cotto at 154, why did he make Canelo come down to 152?

If Ward could make 160 for Floyd, why couldn't he make 164 for Golovkin?

..actually Canelo is ducking GGG at 160....however I believe that GGG will agree to 157 after all the smoke is clear.....GGG still whips his butt....

Basically, what he's saying is that it's wrong for Canelo to ask for a catchweight from GGG, but other powerfull boxers have done things like this in the past, so Canelo should be allowed to get away with it now.

And boxing is all about money anyway .. blah blah..

And that, right there, is the reason why boxing in America is fucked ... ******, cynical people making fights tailored for fans who are as ****** and cynical as they are. And, even in America, people as ****** and cynical as Robert Garcia are a minority of the population.

          Talking about feeding:

So boxers need to get beaten by smaller men entering the ring weak, looking like Bale in the machinist, after starving while training for 2 months in oder to be great?

History shows going down in weight for more than 4 pounds kills the guy, remember Roy, Dawson, Oscar, Lalonde.

If B HOP could do 156 on the scale and remain competitive, I guess he had a 3/4 lbs margin, how do we know GGG has?
And again, it's B HOP, dude is a freak when it comes to shape and nutrition.
If he wasn't saying he could beat Floyd @ 154, I guess this wouldn't be an issue. However, if his team thinks he can beat Floyd @ 154, I can't see how he couldn't beat Canelo @ 155! You have MANY people already saying GGG is better than Hopkins ever was, and he'll be the best MW since Hagler! This is his chance to prove it!

Not gonna argue with that too much.

But it does appear that you are stating that Mayweather at 154 would be an easier fight than Canelo at 155..... and I'm not sure I can agree with that.

Either way, years back when we first heard Team Golovkin state that Gennady can beat anyone from 154-168..... I imagined that they would actually take some of those fights..... that **** seems ridiculous now, this will be the 2nd HUGE fight that Golovkin walked away from over the weight.

I think still wise Golovkin is all wrong for Floyd.

He has a good jab, good at cutting off the ring, good right hand over the top, good body punching.
I also think Floyd would be totally outgunned by GGG, too much difference of punching power between the 2 fighters to make it a competitive fight.
Floyd's punches wouldn't affect GGG that much, would be like a cat chasing a mouse in a ring.

I'm confident he would beat Floyd by KO at 160, but wouldn't be a fair fight since Floyd is a WW, and not a big one.

At 154 it's more intriguing, GGG would be probably well weakened.
I guess Floyd would outbox a slow and tired GGG.

My point is Floyd beating Nelo yesterday and probably today doesn't mean he's a tougher fight than Nelo for GGG.
Nelo fights flat footed and can't cut off the ring well wich is OK for Floyd.

Unlike Floyd, Nelo's frame and chin would be able to withstand GGG's power, I also think he would be able to earn GGG's respect with his power, unlike Floyd AGAIN.

Style make fights and Nelo has grown up.

Nelo would be a tougher fight at 160 for GGG.

I don't think Golovkin shoud listen to his promoter or most retarted fans as much as you do.

                160 is between 154 and 168.

160 is also the sanctioned weight limit for MW title fights, and Golovkin wants to fight Canelo for a MW title.

And Bob backing Nelo and his BS demands, his argument being, "the others A-sides dide the same".

That's so ******ed...****** and cynical like you said.

He is a great trainer but this matter has nothing to do with training fighters so his opinion has no more weight than anybody's else opinion. Nobody has offered GGG ten million bucks to fight Canelo at a weight limit of 155 so where does Garcia get this amount from? If GGG agreed to a catch weight of 155 Oscar would still put the fight off for at least a year. GGG has every right to insist the fight be at the full 160 pounds that middleweight title fights are supposed to be fought at. The WBC backs him up and Canelo must forfeit his title to GGG if he doesn't fight him next at 160 pounds. Good for the WBC and I hope they keep their word. Martinez, Cotto and Canelo have all hurt the prestige of the lineal middleweight title. All of them have defended their title at a catch weight while refusing to fight their number 1 challenger and the best middleweight in the world. GGG is in the right and Canelo and Oscar are in the wrong. GGG's biggest money fight is the Canelo fight but he can still make damn good money without him.
