Excuse for what? Americans rarely benefit from using other languages, aside from Spanish. It's not about respect. Like many foreigners, if Golovkin wants to make money in America he benefits from learning the language. I've studied 5 other languages (Italian, Japanese, Spanish, French, and Bosnian) and only remember bits of each because I never get to put them into application anymore.
Golovkin speaks four languages, while other stars can barely read in their native.

What you say is true. Still, learning languages is not only for direct benefits. It helps to open your head, and learn about other cultures.Excuse for what? Canelo is other example. The man can barely speak his own language. WTF.Comment

Man, this turned into a race thing real quick. Why do boxing fanboys/haters always go there so ****ing quickly?
As a South African and somebody whose first language isn't English, I understand that guys like GGG and Pac don't and likely never will speak the most perfect, crisp English. Personally, my issue is not their limited vocabularies, but how they use them, saying the same old tired media friendly garbage. They just need to give no ****s and say what ever it is they want to say, and if their English fails them, say it in their native tongues.Comment

Mayorga talks himself into fights.
Erislandy talks himself into a fight.
The unknown Richard Abril talks himself into a fight.
Despite his mainstream popularity gennady falls flat and faced no very good fighter.Comment
