We have been over this live sports during the regular season get similar ratings. So comparing sports to sports not some unlike thing it does fine, using Fox those ratings are comparable to a UFC fight headlined by a fight no one cares about.


Sample size and this hasn't been going on long enough to draw that conclusion in a meaningful way.

UFC did like a million more viewers just it's last fight on FOX with largely unknown fighters. And UFC has a fight deal with FOX they are NOT PAYING FOX. That's the point the ratings are so bad and PBC are not only paying for this themselves they are also paying fox millions who would never air these fights otherwise if that weren't the case. And losses they keep sustaining like this make it almost impossible to see a scenario where this goes on much longer. PBCs own investors are suing the people who advised and dumped their money into this money pit called PBC.

I don't think I ever said that, I am pretty sure I said Manny should refuse the first offer because he could do better. He just should have negotiated at that point rather than walking away.

Someone will pay PBC by the time the buys run out with the current ratings. They will probably lose money for a long time, because that is what it takes for a sports league to make it from scratch (or any startup really). It is a long haul and PBC has been playing a long game strategy so I think they will be a round a lot longer than you believe. They still might fail or end up radically different with a different player picking up the pieces because they still have a ton of work to do.

WR investors suing because China slowed and oil dropped using a reason they don't understand is not compelling evidence.

You all expect it to be liked and watched by everyone but the majority of people would rather watch a rerun of friends than boxing. Who the fawk cares though! I'm a fan of the sport and I'll watch most of the fights. They were all fun fights and I enjoyed myself.

I know how I felt because I just put what I always used to say about that situation. Manny could have done better than 40 if he came to the table, I didn't think 40 million was so insulting that he needed to throw up his hands, rather he and his team should have came with what will get the fight made.

The DC show likely had more than double the purse and had a reported 4,135 attendance, though it looked far less. That place only holds around 10k, and it looked like it was shockingly far from half full.


Boxing fans should be frustrated b/c with the money being spent on these events there not building anything that'll support future growth.

Based on what evidence is there that anyone will pay for this hot mess that draws less ratings then cheaper content? They air reruns of shows these networks already own they just pay a small license fee and they can air a rerun that gets similar ratings but instead they will pay 10s or 100s of millions morr for PBC? Get real if PBC doesn't run out of money before the time buys are up that is the last time you will see PBC on any network. PBC is too expensive to maintain and produce and gets crap ratings but networks will been lining up to finance this? LMAO

The ratings weren't poor, and PBC advisors can easily justify the ratings outcome for last night's fight for the sheer fact that those undercards when compared to different platform metrics, Fox Sports isn't going to question it...

Geez Applebee's alone covered the costs for the card ..
