I think money wise though it won't entice Berto unlike Danny.

But I don't want to see Berto-Danny but it's obvious Berto will push for that payday.
I believe I heard Danny in commentary say that he was more than up for that fight although it was at the time before he knew who was going to win.
It definitely seems like a Garcia type of opponent.

Brook is a big guy and will come to win. Spence has a few questioms left to answer and he shoukdnt be forced to learn them against the arfguably best foghter in the division.

Every fighters needs that tough assignment before stepping up.

      ODH had John John Molina
      GGG had Ouma
      Kovalev and Ward had Boone.
      Loma had Salido

Berto doesnt have the intelligence or ability to test Spence. Chaves has decent power, has fared muchh better against world class opposition, and has a few tricks up his sleeves. Spence would see a little bit of everything against Spence.

Against Berto the only thing we'll find out is how much of a beating Spence can put on him before the stoppage.

If Chaves was a good enough opponent for Brook than why not Spence.

Spence-Berto would be a good fight because Spence is there to land his firepower and would likely get his chin checked by a Berto uppercut. If Spence can survive the upper cuts he would mug Berto most likely but Berto can crack.

Berto is more likely to want a fight like Garcia which is out there for him, luckily for Spence there are plenty of guys at Berto's level.

It's sad that we have been conditioned to see the top fighters fight journeymen.

          Spence probably gets Guerrero
          Garcia probably gets Berto
          Brook fights another random Euro-bum

Lol this is the "hot welterweight division."

As for the topic, Spence fighting Berto isn't bad at all. It's a good step for him and it also prevents Garcia from fighting a third consecutive washed up guy.

I don't get all the hate for a potential Spence/Berto fight. Berto would be a nice step for Spence to take before fighting Brook.

You guys make it seem like Berto is a complete bum but he's not, he just clearly not what he was once hyped up to be. I mean I know we all hated the fight being made, but Berto did just fight Floyd.

Berto is very overpaid fighter. He will probably fight Garcia next.

              Spence will fight Panomarev.

Meh, I think if Algieri and Berto had fought each other instead of Spence and Ortiz, Algieri probably would have won. I don't see this as as step up.

Spence steamrolls Berto just as easily. It's not the worst fight that can be made right now, but it won't tell me much about Spence. But at the very least it would prevent Garcia-Berto, which sucks ass.

Berto would decapitate Algieri, in brutal fashion.

He's going for the ibf he's already number 1. Ponamarev makes more sense for the eliminator
