He has heart of a chicken!!! When ref asked him do u want to continue he got no answer from him.

Now compare this **** with Khan vs Garcia and how Khan was still willing to continue after taking all those bombs.

    Worse heart in boxing, smh.

    Really disappointed in Ortiz..

I normally don't have a problem with a guy throwing in the towel if he has no chance and is getting punished.

This though, this is another case of Ortiz just saying enough when things get a bit difficult. Why do you come back to a sport if you're not willing to fight through adversity?

          Ortiz needs a sport psychologist.

The Jaw is shot. Ever since Lopez reaglined it his mind goes into survival mode and doesn't want it anymore.

The jaw is not shot, he's just mentally weak.

I think, to be somewhat fair to Ortiz, that he really was so out of it this time that what the ref was asking him didn't register at all. That being said, it's not a good look either way and it is a reinforcement of Ortiz just not having it in there at even Berto level. He needs to hang em up.

No. His jaw was literally shattered out of place against Lopez. As it may seem that in life that a 100% recovery is possible for such an injury, but that's not possible. the scar tissue damage will easily fold again under extreme blows to the jaw. This is why many boxers say you're never the same, be it mentally of course, but the slow motion replay of that devastating uppercut landed on the same trauma place when Lopez shattered the jaw, on the left side of the face.

Ortiz should quit tbh. Many NFL players are never the same either from pre-pro or pro from serious injuries.
