Rigondeaux should retire from boxing while he still can. It's a shame, but he's old and it seems difficult for him to get a good opponent. On top of that, I fear for his health. He's abnormally small and while he's also abnormally skilled, it doesn't change the fact that his jaw is made of glass. He could get seriously hurt if he fought a guy like Frampton. Everyone is knocking Rigondeaux down these days. Donaire, Amagasa, Cordoba... Those guys hurt him very badly with punches that weren't even very powerful. Rigondeaux just crumbled the second his chin got tapped and he even got knocked down two times against Amagasa, a Japanese journeyman... Things are not looking good and while it's a damn shame to see such a talent go to waste, I think Rigo should look honestly at his age, size and chin. It's just not worth the risk...

You know. You can hate the fans if you want. But look at greats like Ali and Tyson who just didn't restrain themselves enough to retire in time. If you get hurt badly like Rigondeaux does, then there's a need to worry. As a fan, you should care about his health, especially when he reaches advanced age.Comment

An undefeated boxer who happens to be extremely good should retire after 16 fights because he could get hurt in the near future....OK.Comment

I don't know if Rigondeaux's chin is glass. He always gets back up. I think he is so used to not being hit that when he takes a clean shot it is like a shock to his system and he loses balance. I think boxing is hugely mental and when a guy is so used to not being touched there bodies will sometimes temporarily shut down when they take a clean shot.Rigondeaux should retire from boxing while he still can. He gets back up, yeah, but it's not a matter of balance. Rigo got good balance. It's all about chin problems. Such small taps wouldn't even knock me or you down, but Rigo, a professional fighter, crumbled from it.I don't know if Rigondeaux's chin is glass. He always gets back up.
