Lomachenko is a greater fighter than Floyd and I'll even tell you why.

26 year old floyd would not loose to an orlando salido grade opponent as Loma did.

OP is comparing 28 year old Loma's resume to 20 year old mayweathers.

Floyd was 33-0 and a 3 division champion when he was 28.

The problem with Loma, is I fear he stuck around in the amateurs too long. He really does not sit down on his punches, so certain guys will be able to walk through his punches and make it interesting. He still does some things in the ring that amazes me. He does some things that I have not seen other fighters do. He is definitely crafty.

When Floyd was young, guys were getting severely punished in there against him.

floyd was at 140 and fighting gatti when he was 28, he was several levels above what loma is today skill wise. great for loma he won two medals but he would have done himself better to turn pro earlier if he wanted to develop more like you said

floyd was 19 in his first pro fight. Loma was a 26 year old man when he fought salido.

Floyd was already at 140 beating the crap out of Ndou when he was 26 years old. He already beat JLC and corrales at that point.

Loma was in his 20s fighting teenagers in the amateurs while floyd was winning world titles, thats his choice to stay amateur longer but its clear pro experience is better.

There is no substitute for pro experience...and win or lose loma probably took more away from the salido fight than floyd took from his first 10 fights. I'm not agreeing that he's somehow greater than floyd but his path has been different and refreshing. I just hope he doesn't lose momentum.
