The funny part is when people talk about khans speed they act as though he has these super fast pacquiaoish hands that have pop in them.... he doesn't. He throws in flurries, and not with authority. The other part of it is they are also acting as though Canelo lacks speed and is some super slow mo guy.... he's not. He's got more pro fights, I don't recall him ever being down, and only minimally hurt a few times. Sometimes yes, more weight helps in one's ability to absorb a punch but I'm going to lay it out like this...

Khan is no Cotto and while Cotto is no defensive genius, he's better than khan in all aspects Cotto got hit with virtually no clean shots vs Canelo

Khan is no Mayweather...all that needs to be said

Khan is no Lara.. he has a long amateur background, and used movement and sneaky single punches to get to Canelo, again, not something khan does.

Canelo has slowly become a better counterpuncher over his career, and overall is a better fighter. I won't get into the debate about whether he won or lost fight x,y,z the records show he has 1 loss.

The whole notion of this fight to begin with is ******. While in boxing anything is possible, the likelihood of khan finishing this fight on his feet is slim. Don't even get me started this being "for the middleweight title". That's a whole other subject. Just remember that odds makers make odds for a reason....khans odds suck.

I think you've summed it all up very well. Thats not so much a case of triangle theories - rather algebraic proof! Also, Khan has elite hand speed but his foot speed isn't quite as fast (but still fast) and his foot placement is to be found wanting - its like his hand eye coordination works great but his anticipation of other boxer's footwork is much slower.

The only other issue is Canelo. Dougie Fischer, over at the Ring, says that he fully expects Canelo to leave 155 behind this year or next as its just too much of a struggle - and D.F has insider info nobody else has access to. He also has said in the past that Canelo may get caught out trying to make 155.

If Canelo would come in sluggish then one of the fighters he would least likely want to face would be one with Khan's speed.

Unfortunately Freddie, Khan's speed will not be enough for the whole fight.

And I'll root for Khan just to see a wrench get thrown into this middleweight compost bin. Imagine if Khan won the fight and then said he was fighting GGG at 160. Holy shart!!

Absolutely, Canelo doesn't need to land the "right" punch to hurt Khan. A few solid shots and Khan will know why time it is, he'll know he's in there with a different animal than he used to.

That's why I say most boxing fans and especially majority of fans here on NSB are a bunch of *******...actually they should already be giving props, considering he is going up risking life and health taking on a monster in Canelo. I mean Blackwell was just in damn coma fighting a guy his own size. This is not a game of tennis

Why.... This is the sport he chose. He's an adult who can make he's own decisions. Besides.... He's earning around 5 million dollars, which is far more than he has ever made in any of his fights. For that kind of money, I would do it too.

He's just looking for a payday. I agree with you 100%, and I have been saying it from the start. HE WILL GET SERIOUSLY HURT. I really don't know how boxing officials are allowing this to happen.

STOP the nonsense, this has nothing to do with legacy, this has nothing to do with taking on a monster. It's taking the biggest paycheck humanly available to Khan. I'm sorry to break it to people but have we actually forgotten this guy is unproven at 147, has been rocked by his past two sub-par opponents and would go from these opportunities to rebuilding if he lost to a lesser opponent. People need to stop believing the hype.
