I'm sure it's just a perspective thing, but Khan actually looks wider than Alvarez in the photo. If he puts the size on correctly and retains his speed, he might have a good chance to get a W. I'm not giving him any type of shot to win, but this is boxing after all, and you can never count out a motivated fighter.
An interesting observation of Khan is that he only gets knocked out when he doesn't see a punch coming. He ate Maidana's punches all night because he was able to brace for impact. Alvarez has rather leaky defense, but he works his pull counter well, especially when countering with his right uppercut. If Khan throws a lazy rangefinder, that could be the punch that sends him to dreamland, but if it never comes then we might get a good fight after all.Last edited by doom_specialist; 04-28-2016, 05:13 AM.Comment

Something's can be decieving, with clothes on its very hard to judge a fighter next to another fighter.. khans abilty to absorb canelos punchers over a number of rounds is where the size comes into it...the core strength in the midsection...the legs to keep moving away from canelo, you can't just bulk up 10lbs in 8 weeks and expect to hang with a guy who on fight night will outweigh you by 15lbs and its not like Khan has a good chin...he's been koed and consistently hurt all the through from lightweight to Welterweight...he just will not have built up enough inner core strengh and natural size in that space of time....as soon as Khan starts losing his bounce and starts hanging in the pocket to long he gets caught and canelo will gradually break him down to the body canelo is a great combination puncher and has great timing ...Khan will be off his toes and then takes a beating untill either the ref stops it or he can't beat the count somewhere around the 8th or 9th roundI'm sure it's just a perspective thing, but Khan actually looks wider than Alvarez in the photo. All I need to know is Chris Algieiri put Khan on shaky legs with the first good punch he landed...khan has speed but jumps straight in leaving his chin exposed every time. He's going to sleep inside 8 rounds...Comment
