Current Canelo would still lose to that version of Mayweather. There was no indication whatsoever that Canelo had the beating or even put Mayweather in any distress. His speed and strength migh have improved a little but he is still the same stylistically. And he was not green when he fought Mayweather.

He was Green, he first fought a warm body one fight prior. And drained obviously. Still it wouldn't have mattered, Floyd is levels above him on talent

Canelo was green (in terms of huge fights), weight-drained and maybe very nervous. These were contributing factors to his loss to Floyd. Other contributing factors are that Mayweather is more experienced, smaller, faster, and better than Canelo.

He would beat canelo now too, its just a usual excuse by haters to discredit a boxers win.

How was he drained, he weighed 165 on fight night.

He weighed in @ the 154 CW limit the night before the fight. He walks around @ 170. Of course he was weight-drained.

Floyd is a great fighter, Canelo is merely good. The gap in talent between guys from Floyd's era and now is unreal. Canelo would get shut out by Floyd even if Floyd was 50.

Floyd lovers just can't accept these were beliefs before Floyd fought GGG. He wasn't considered that good cos he hadn't fought anyone of note. He only fought people of somewhat reputation not long before facing Floyd. Nobody considered him top ten PFP, apart from ring mag? But we knoiw he wasn't

People said Floyd was scared but that's normal for Floyd whenever or whoever he fights. So don't twist that and try using reverse phycology and make out that a good thing for Floyd and its positive. Scared cos of size, so drains him, so he was scared. Nothing wrong or controversial saying that.
Floyd knew if he went ahead with cw he would be criticized, so no use complaining now

He was 172 vs Trout, one fight prior. That's a whole division
