Seriously, boxing hipster experts need to stop hyping up these champions who look basic as fuc'k, except for their power, just because they have long winning streaks against mandatories. Uchiyama, Yamanaka and Wonkonjam were considered p4p but they never passed the eye test for me....accomplished but their style was always too straight forward...no setting traps, no deliberate movements, no strategy, no atheticism....basically just out punching their opponents...once they see an unorthodox fighter they have a lot of problems....

I respect them a lot and they deserved being considered top contenders in their divisions for their accomplishments, but don't sell them as p4p talents.

          He got caught and stopped.

Notice: you won't get Japanese fans on this site making excuses or. PED allegations, no slow motion phaggotry. Unlike some fans of another fighter.

The Chris John of Japan, only with more KO's.

It's a shame uchi got beat by a guy who looks like an amateur. He should have never got caught and finished off by the looping shots this guy was throwing all fight. Unreal.

                  Hot diggity damn.

Only 24 yrs old. First kd was beastly

Kid looks good, though like others say Uchiyama perhaps a touch overrated and ageing

If you go and look at his fights versus southpaws, Muira in paticular, he has problems with them. Still shocked by the outcome.

I can understand the criticism of Uchiyama and Yamanaka.
In fact I agree with you....

BUT Pongsaklek Wonjongkam is a genuine ATG....
I suggest you look up the names on his record, a half dozen or so
guys he kod went on to be champs after he beat them up....

Also the big names all ducked him not the other way round.
Donaire, Darchinyan etc were all seemingly terrified of the guy....

And what do you mean Wonjongkam didn't pass the eye test???
Just from a glance at footage of him you can see he's skillfull as ****
and has a very fan friendly style....

Have you ever actually watched him fight??
Or are you just being a boxrec warrior?? (without even lookin at his record properly)
