That's because he exposed Golovkins tiny nuts.

Weren't you one of the people defending Golovkin not fighting Ward. Didn't want to see the "best fight the best" then did you?

anyone who knew Dan Goosen knows how much of a piece of **** Andre Ward is for what he put Dan through the last few years of his life.

There are some things you can never "undo"......

David Lemieux is sitting at 84% right now.

But yeah, I think Ward just gets hate because he is so dominant and he doesn't go for the crowd pleasing KO style.

Barrera is 34, a wealth of amateur experience, he's not much different from the rest of great amateurs that turn pro late. Lemieux was getting beat and ko'd by the likes or Rubio and Alcine, Barrera on the other hand has completely dominated and outclassed his competition. And he's a legit lhw at 6'2.

his "competition" prior to the Ward fight had a combined record of 213-70. How much credit does that get him?

No just no. I like Andre and give huge props to him for stepping up to fight Kovalev (although the simple fact was he basically had to if he wanted that HBO contract) but trying to sell Paul Smith as a good win ain't gonna work.

Murray and Smith did about equally well against a semi-shot Abraham - a lotta folk actually had Murray winning or a draw too, but it was generally acknowledged that Smith had the night of his life in Abraham I and furthermore was at the point of retiring when the call for Abraham II came in - the guy basically said he'd had enough of the sport. And the high points of his career? Getting KTFO by Groves and Degale. Paul Smith is and always was a national level fighter - as they say - not even the best SMW in his own family.
Smith was a tuneup, nothing more and he wasn't that bad considering it's on par with ggg's career best win.
Barrera ... time will tell. I think he shows promise and looked pretty solid, but that KO% - wtf? are you actually serious with that ****? Barreras a decent prospect with a prospect's resume. Easily top 10? You're overselling it.
Barrera is a legit boxer, you don't go 285-27 beating the likes of Chad Dawson without boxing ability. Factor in his 6'2 frame, 67% ko rate, it makes him more dangerous than anyone Kov or Stevenson have faced.

The most dangerous LHW each man has faced was Stevenson-Fonfara (50% ko rate) and Kov.-Cleverly 47%

He never struggled with any of them. His most impressive W was Murat, his performance was much more impressive than either Clev or Hopkins.

Ward just made him look bad, he did the same thing when he fought Froch with a broken hand.

You want to throw around useless stats?

Golovkins opponents combined record at the same point (16 fights) had a record of 208-108. Barrera>>>>>Golovkin

I'll give him credit for fighting Kovalev when he signs a contract to fight him.
