There are still things like finances, promotional issues, scheduling, sanctioning body conflicts, network conflicts, that in the REAL world have to be dealt with. Being willing to fight anyone from 154-168 is one thing. Its an entirely different matter to actually get those fights made. Its easier said than done.....
I hear what you're saying. But even the biggest of names eventually come to the table to discuss things. It's clear in this case who the A/B Side is. Its not even a discussion. When it's all said and done, if you are truly about giving your fans what they want to see (and GGG makes it a top priority to address his fans each fight, which is admirable) then fight who they want to see you fight. Not saying concede on everything from weight to financials, but propose something other than "Its 160 or nothing". Even the most dominant of fighters in the PPV era (a la Mayweather) had to make necessary concessions to get the fight done. It's what you NEED to do not what you WANT to do.

negotiations for that fight dont even begin until after Canelo-Khan, so conceding anything at THIS point would be ignorant. I suspect that if GBP / Canelo genuinely wants to make the fight, anything over 157 would likely be accepted. Thats just my opinion though..........

I get it. I mentioned this earlier in another thread.

it just seems like all the sudden posters want NSB to not be NSB when GGG is the topic. I just don't see how that is possible. Yes, some of what he gets is unfair, but unfair is standard for NSB.

Canelo is ducking GGG, but I have no sympathy for him. GGG should have moved up a year ago and the way he and his team have handled the Ward situation was not manly. If GGG get's the Canelo shot, he'll beat Canelo and then go on to fight the rest of the unkwown taxi drivers at 160 and I don't care for that.

But it is 160 or nothing, Canelo is the lineal middleweight champion. Not sure why that is so hard for you guys to digest.

#1: Canelo @ 155. At least say they're willing to do it, and if he ducks, then at least you tried! This could be the biggest fight of 2016, and the best MW fight since ODLH vs. Hopkins.

#2: Saunders in the UK will be huge overseas. I'm sure HBO will be onboard. It might not be a PPV, but if HBO is going PPV for Crawford vs. Postol, then this should be too.

#3: Zurdo Ramirez: Might as well move up and get paid. I would love to see Jacobs but I doubt that happens unless the bout goes to a purse bid. But what if Haymon wins, and the fight goes to Showtime? Would GGG be willing to go to Showtime? Duva killed Kovalev vs. Stevenson for the same reason.
All those vultures needs to disappear.
Jacobs vs GGG is the best fight btw true middleweights.

GGG shouldn't try 155 too low, at best 157, he was a 165 pounder as an amateur.

Not really, didnt even watch it live. Caught it on he replay. Thats how much I thought of it. Still havent seen Pac Bradley 3, because thats how much I thought of that fight, just like I havent seen Floyd Berto.

No question this fight should be 160 or nothing, but I hope GGG doesn't get his shot lmao. It's really an uninteresting fight that I think we all know the outcome of.

Well if he can make 154 for Floyd, he should be able to make 155 for Canelo. 157 is a good number, and that was the catch-weight Oscar demanded from B-Hop, so it is not something that hasn't been done before. Unfortunately, if GGG is "not willing to come down one ounce," then he'll have to wait until Canelo can't make 155 anymore, which could be a while, since Canelo is only 25. Anyway, let's hope the WBA does it's job, and we get a purse bid for GGG vs. Jacobs!
