David got the most hype because it was PPV.... HBO and GGG's team did their best to sell him as the biggest puncher in the division but even his power (his only asset) was vastly overrated and clearly inferior to Golovkin's. They made a big deal about him dropping N'dam 4 times but it was telling to me that he never came close to finishing him off and add the fact that Quillin dropped him 6 times too for good measure. Honestly I don't think I've seen any GGG opponent (other than Wade) look as hapless as Lemieux did that night, he may have lasted 8 rounds but he did next to nothing.
Murray would get my vote because I felt he deserved the decisions against Sturm and Martinez in their backyards. He was also thoroughly dominated by GGG but he looked like he belonged in that ring until the body shots in round 4/5.
Geale has the achievements, being a former unified champ but for me he didn't beat Sturm any better than Murray did and other than Sturm, I can't think of any other meaningful wins he has but he has some decent ones like Mundine and Sylvester (who was better rated in those days) but nothing that says he is better than Murray.
