Something is funky with these numbers.
Basically the fight was so short it didn't count.

With the TV ratings basically being the same, and Ward's profile in the sport ****ting on Golovkin's profile in the sport, the split was just fine.
lets also compare how many comps were given at both events lol

Did not know my fellow boxing fans knew soooo much about how ratings are calcuated or the meaning of them .Lol. The ratings were good. Deal with it and move on.

Showbuzz Daily and Sports TV Ratings do not report peak ratings, only average ratings. It appears Showbuzz Daily only reports programs that last more than 10 minutes. Golovkin-Wade from first bell to the result announcement lasted 8 minutes. You'll notice Showbuzz Daily does not report the 11:23 segment, that's the actual fight.

It is a little silly that we are so obsessed with what an 8-minute span on HBO averaged, but that's the how boring boxing is right now I guess. I am guilty of this too.

In terms of ratings though, Golovkin-Wade did average 1.325M.

That's my biggest issue with PBC. As a boxing fan I want it to succeed and I am a big fan of their shows. But they're on too many networks and their dates are so far apart it makes it hard to often keep up with the changes. Which they just decided to make spike TV their home and have weekly boxing there.

Also the numbers don't even add up:
              Why is it that Males 18-49 + Females 18-49 = 1.02 is double People 18-49 (.51)?

Why is that Males 18-49 + People 50+ = 1.12 > Total viewership (1.089)? And that doesn't even include all of the groups of people.

              Females (18-49) + Males (18-49) + People (>50) = 1.38m. But the Total is 1.089?

I think this chart was hastily put together, but idk maybe I'm just misunderstanding it.
The total number is the only figure that is being counted as a viewership number (note that (000) is only over that one column); the rest of the numbers would then likely be something like audience shares of the demographic being looked at [have no idea if this is accurate but, if W 18-49, across all TV is equal to a 20 rating, a 1.4 rating in the demo tuned in for whatever program]

They are trying to get a deal like ufc got. So it's trying to impress channels by being on them. Fox very well could offer a huge contract and it would just be on 2 channels.

I hope so. It's a real shame their ratings aren't higher. Their last card was a rather entertaining card.
Plus Haymon has the boxers to make a weekly or biweekly show.
