Luis Ortiz is my pick to dominate over the next 3-4 years, although it may take another two to establish himself no.1. Then of course he's not going to reign long as he's getting, kinda like the GGG situation.

I expect thereafter it to be someone such as Usyk or someone we are not familiar with yet. I can not see anyone in the current crop establishing themselves consistently over a notable period of time, Fury has said hasnt the intentions to be around for a long period though a win over Joshua may convince him to stick around longer. I don't see Joshua getting past Wilder or Fury personally I'm expecting his IBF reign to mirror Wilder's, short nights work over guys like Breazeale until somebody like Parker, Pulev or Fury out the skids on his momentum.

Joshua has the power to KO just about anyone, and looks to be developing his skill set nicely. I have a wee bit of a concern that he'll get exposed at some point, but until that happens (if at all) he has to be considered a major contender.

Wilder, as much as I like him, will probably get exposed at some point unless he completely avoids all possible threats minus beatable ones like Povetkin. If he gets in the ring with either Fury or AJ I suspect he gets badly outclassed/KOed. Ortiz would be a nightmare for him as well.

Joseph Parker looks to be a major talent, though I'm worried that he's being mismanaged and isn't being given the grooming that a top prospect should have. Takam is a real throw to the wolves fight, and it'd be a shame if Parker gets derailed at this point, as I consider him the contender with the highest natural ceiling.

Hughie Fury could get in there, though I need to see him fight more before I get behind him.
      Hell to the no.

That what people said about Whyte and Martin, ooh its too soon, ooh he isn't ready yet, ooh he is going to get exposed because not enough fights blah blah blah

I'd wager with anyone that AJ will spark Fury out in absolutely brutal fashion it wont even be close.

I reckon Povetkin beats Wilder and Fury certainly beats Povetkin. Leaving an all British clash barring any upsets.

AJ was a massive favourite going into both those fights you mentioned, no one gave either guy a real chance, beyond trying to promote the events. Unless we're talking about nsb idiots that is.

Against Fury, at this stage in his career, he has no chance.

You're trying to tell me people told you Whyte and Martin would beat Joshua ?

I don't see how anyone could be certain Fury will be stopped by AJ, Klitschko landed a couple of mean shots on Fury and he dug in his heels, rode them and came back strong.

If you think you're talking to a Fury fan boy you're mistaken, I just ain't no AJ blow hard. Look I'll say this as I'd say it to anyone, anybody can look great until they face somebody good, take Groves for instance, the moment he stepped up to world class he looks ordinary and blows, lets see what happens when AJ faces somebody like Parker and Pulev before blowing our load about what he'd do to the likes of Fury and Klitschko.

This whole scenario reminds me of the Chavez Jr, David Price, Porter and GGG type of hype. Completely unwarranted until they've fought somebody considered world class.

Im going with Wlad until proven otherwise. Everyone has seemed to forgot the decade king over one fight that he simply didn't let his hands go. He beats Fury then gets wilder or Joshua. Depending on how he looks or wins against Fury will be a better measuring stick to this thread as well as Wilder/Povetkin. Wlad seems more interested getting the belts back then fury and seems to want to derail the top Hw's to feel satisfied. Either wlad or Aj for me in the next 2/3 years as a the guy to beat. long term I would say Aj. Even if fury gets past some of the top guys ,I cant see him keeping fit to be the Hw champion.the guys back is already breaking down and hes not even 30.

I don't recall anyone giving Martin or Whyte a shot versus AJ, I'm sure their were a couple of imbeciles out there who said something to that effect but were just desperadoes hoping to see AJ lose.

I don't really dislike AJ, I wouldn't claim to be a huge fan either, I'd like to see him raise his competition level before getting excited over him firstly. And I think he could bomb Fury out early, I certainly wouldn't bank on it though, and I'm neither sure why anyone else would, unless they're swept away by his current hype having faced a series of bums in his 16 fight marathon of finding phoney challenges.

You could see Klitschko beating Ortiz after winning his belts back ?
