The concept of a lineal champion was developed by boxing fans dissatisfied by the tendency of each of the various sanctioning bodies (WBC, WBA, IBF, etc.) to recognize different champions, and in particular to strip a champion of his title for refusing to fight its top-ranked contender. Prior to the 1970s, this rarely happened; the National Boxing Association (NBA) and the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) sometimes recognized different champions, but there was usually only a short interval before one champion defeated the other. In this era, a title vacancy was generally filled by having a single-elimination tournament box-off between two or more top-ranked contenders. The lineal championship is intended as a return to that era. Several top boxers have specified holding the lineal championship as a personal accomplishment (e.g. Lennox Lewis[3]) or goal (e.g., Nate Campbell[1]).

Why was he trying to fight Chavez and frock if 160 has all these beasts? LMAO
Big money fights, but do Chavez and Froch fight there now? Nope. So now it's devoided of talent and money fights. GGG has always maintained their coming back to 160 even if they move up to 168 for one mega fight because 168 ain't worth the stay.

Even the 2nd best fighter there (Ramirez) is considered a tune up fight for GGG, Roy Jones was like it's too early too feed him to Golovkin, it's a **** division.

They didn't create lineal you ****** they merely went back to a ranking that boxing already had, hence lineage. You can't create a system that already existed.

Guys like Canelo never go to purse bids. I bet your other account knows this. Where are you getting these 3-4lbs from anyway? There's no offer, these guys are clearly forfeiting the belt

I read it fine but they didn't create anything, they merely reappriopriated a concept and called it something else. It comes down to the best fighting the best. What you're suggesting goes against that concept.

Its well know and common sense. But these GGG nut huggers will literally say anything no matter how false or ridiculous to defend this fraud. It's hilarious
