Its not about preparing for Kov its about finding his timing and his own top form it has nothing to do with Kov and everything about Ward finding himself after surgery long lay off and moving up to 175 .

      The most over rated? Hardly.

Look at his career accomplishments. There are guys with a resume ten times worse (I won't mention any names) who get way more hype than be does.

If he is over rated then GGG doesnt think so , can you figure that one out ?

I hope Ward fights one more time before the Kovalev fight. He still looked a little rusty against Barrera. Ward should fight again in July and then take on Kovalev in Nov or Dec.

This fight is going to be EPIC

The more time passes, the more I'm confident about Ward winning this fight
I actually think that Stevenson got more chances of beating Ward than Kovalev. Not because Adonis is a better boxer, but because Sergey don't have that one punch KO power in his fists like Adonis has. And it'll be real difficult to catch Andre with those combinations. I was thinking it's 60/40 fight, but at this moment it's 70/30 for me, favoring Andre
Yes, that kind of Ward that was fighting Barrera would get KO'd by Kovalev, but boxers like Andre can surprise you and they're able to show more than 100% of their capabilities when it's necessary

                Exactly !

Ward just has to be sharp, he was ready for Kovalev years ago.

                  Key words - 'years ago'

And maybe he still is. I don't overrate Ward, I think he's earned his accomplishments. This is a rough fight for him though. More so for him than Kov, Kov is more likely to get outpointed, Ward's more likely to get knocked out. Other than the knockdown early of Barrera I didn't really see anything from Ward that bothered the Cuban. If Kov lands the # of punches that Barrera did, Andre's having a rough night.

Ward's next fight should tell us everything we need to know.
