I don't think they fight in Nov. Early 2017 is my feeling.

I don't see Ward fighting Kovalev this year. They might fight in a double header in November then fight in March. Ward is a perfectionist and will not go in unless he's 100% ready.

Let's see who Andre Ward picks for his summer fight. I'd love for him take Juergen Braehmer's "regular" belt.

That helps him continue to knock off the rust but I don't know if it gets him ready for Kovalev, though.

Ward will not be in the top form that he once had, after only one more fight. The edge he lost from his inactivity will come back to haunt him.

That's what I'm afraid of. The contract with HBO wasn't necessary if he was going to move up to LHW, now he has to fight Kovalev under HBO's terms.

Ward's team contacted Vyacheslav Shabranskyy to fight him in the summer. There should be an announcement sometime soon. I also heard Shabranskyy wanted to fight Ward last November, but Ward turned down that fight.

Shabransky isn't a bad choice. Seems like a big puncher and comes from the same "Russian school" background as Kovalev.

The best fight that can be made in my opinion. As 50-50 on paper as it gets. High tension all the way through in a fight like this. You can tell they both know what they are up against from interviews. Best vs the best.

Mad respect for Ward to go up to 175 and face the man at 175. He could have fought at catchweights a la Canelo but here is 175, good for Andre. But Kovalev is a killer f*** I can't wait for this fight.

I think that Ward is the most over rated fighter in boxing. Because of that, I won't believe he will fight Kovalev until it happens. I think he is afraid of Kovalev and will pull out or some other thing will happen so this fight will not come off. Just my 2cents.
