You better believe it is man! .... they are consensus #1 and #2.

This shouldn't be more than $50.... it's a bold move putting this as PPV though.

Everybody saying this isn't a PPV quailty fight are crazy. Personally, I don't think any fight should be on PPV because I subscribe to HBO and SHO strictly for boxing. So I'm being charged twice. But in the boxing era we live in, PPV is where most big fights will be. Two young, primed, talented fighters that are the best two fighters in their division is PPV quality. Guess you have to be a goofy look'n so called elite, that's never fought a legit opponent in a decade. And fighting a guy that's been beaten already by C level fighters to be PPV quality.

Nice. I been critical of Crawford and rightly so, but if he can beat Postol, I'll give him his credit.

Good fight, but shouldn't be a PPV. Guess HBO's budget is in the trash.

Crawford won't fight Postol unless it's PPV.

Fights like these used to be non-PPVs. You don't even have to guess. You'll know they're not deserving of PPV status. Donaire/Rigo was not on PPV. Maidana/Broner was not on PPV, which I thought should have been because of its entertainment value.

Well I've began to notice something in regards to fights and getting shown @ movie theaters

Mayweather vs JMM/Mosley/Cotto/Maidana/Berto/Guerrero and Canelo were all shown at theaters

Canelo vs Angulo/Lara/Cotto and now Khan have all been shown @ theaters

I've yet to see a Pacquiao/Top Rank card being shown @ Movie Theaters, so going off that, unless things change, I doubt Crawford-Postol will be shown @ theaters.

Yeah given Crawford-Postol aren't terribly mainstream, perhaps a lower costing PPV would be the appropriate route to go

If I remember correctly the Golovkin-Lemieux PPV cost around $49-$50 but still tanked getting 150,000 buys. They were talking about 300,000 for Golovkin's PPV debut and did half of that. Compared to Crawford, Golovkin was much more known at the time

people need to get off their high horse and recognize that fans aren't bashing the FIGHT (Postol-Crawford) but the outlet. You're taking two successful but not well known athletes and making it a PPV, so the only outlet for seeing the fight is paying a premium (guessing $50)

**and to the poster who subscribes to HBO & Showtime for boxing only. Why do you consider yourself getting "charged twice" that doesn't make any sense. HBO and Showtime have their own stables of boxers who are exclusively signed to each network.

well I read that the GGG-Lemieux fight had to be PPV, or the fight wouldn't have happened, because apparently for whatever reason, PPV fights don't impact the HBO budget.

Best fight that can be made at 140. The winner becomes the official king of the junior welterweight division.
