Comments Thread For: George Groves-Martin Murray Promises Fireworks at The O2

Trainer Shane McGuigan believes three-time world-title challenger George Groves can reach the summit of the super-middleweight division by the end of 2016. Earlier this month, the former Commonwealth, British and European champion Groves resumed his latest quest for a tilt at global honours when he blew away unbeaten but largely untested Scot David Brophy on the undercard of the IBF heavyweight title showdown between Charles Martin and Anthony Joshua at the O2 Arena in London.

If Groves wins, which I think he will, he'll be right back in the mix and I really think a Jack rematch or a DeGale rematch should be next.

        Good match-up!

I think Groves will win on points. Murray tends to fight at his opponents pace and tempo, which will suit Groves.

Martin Murray seems to have a bit more power at SMW. He hurt Abraham bad in their fight but he didn't pull the trigger and really go for the finish. He could hurt Groves and do it again and lose a close decision again.
