First of all it was a great win regardless of his experience at the time.

Second I dont necessary agree. How can u get more credit when you didnt fight this improved version.of Canelo.

Kinda like Morales beating Pacquaio....Should Morales get more credit for beating him after seeing the fighter Manny evolved into later? Idk.

You know Max it would be true if they met at 154 and Canelo was not a green up and comer. It would be Like Floyd beating Spence last year and he than becomes the best 147,154 pounder ever. Maybe the guy who knock out Pacquiao when he was 16 looks like he's the best Fly weight ever he did knock boxing best fighter of the decade

Nope, I would just remind Max that Lara beat Canelo fair and square, without catchweight but wasn't awarded the decision.

But Floyd is the one who officialy beat Canelo in a unification superfight but somhow needed a 152 CW...

That's how works boxing by now, for sure Canelo learned form that fight asking GGG to come down to 155 for a lineal MW championship lol

Are you all forgetting about the 152 CW?

I thought PAC's win over Cotto was a CW fraud...

How easy it is to forget that Canelo weighed in at 153 in the fight before Floyd, and therfore only had to lose one extra pound.

How easy it is to forget he was 165 on fight night as opposed to Floyd's 150.

How easy it is to forget that at 150.5 in the one day weigh in, and 150 on fight night, Floyd couldn't even make the 152 catchweight.

              How easy it is indeed.
              Who cares who offers what?

So they forced Floyd to fight at a 152 CW?

              Floyd signed for it.

              Poor little Floyd...

Here are the datas of the trout fight before Floyd:

2013-04-20 : Austin Trout 153¼ lbs lost to Saul Alvarez 153½ lbs by UD in round 12 of 12

It's because you don't understand about compensating for the size differences between fighters. If you have two equally good fighters, the larger man wins. Even if someone is at an uncomfortable weight, they are still advantaged in being larger so it helps balance. Some fans want to see a fighter completely disadvantaged, then when he wins, they still find some excuse to hate on him.

LOL @ Kellerman applying a reverse triangle theory! Canelo was green, weight-drained & in the biggest fight of his young career & life against an undefeated master of the ring. Of course, he lost. So, as he matures, learns, improves & becomes a master in his own right, how does that make his loss to Mayweather make Floyd look even better? Ridiculous!

I don't get why people say Canelo is better he looks the exact same and if he fought the same version of Floyd it would go the same way because he is a boxer and would try to box Floyd. He is a good boxer, better than most but his flaws remain the exact same.

Look at the Cotto fight he clearly won but he did not step on the gas to really take it to the older smaller fighter he was content to box him to the end. If he really learned from that fight with Floyd he would have played a more aggressive game with a smaller fighter.

Trout, Lara, Floyd and Cotto are all derivative, it is not like Canelo is some unknown quantity his limits are pretty well known and haven't been changing.

                      I understand don't worry.

But when it comes to compare his performance to other Nelo opponents as Kellerman is doing, Floyd unlike the others fought a disavantaged Nelo (as you pointed well) and yes, that's why catchweights are full of shyt.
