I just find it weird that......

Ward had to get an agreement from either GGG or Kovalev in order to get a HBO contract. Ward has proven that he'll fight anybody. He choose to join the super 6. Other fighters like Bute said no. Reminds me of when HBO wouldn't sign lineal LHW and WBC champ Stevenson to a long term deal but they gave Kovalev a deal. If Mikey Garcia signed with Golden Boy, HBO would have an offer for him the next day. IJS doe...

HBO has made a decision to go in a specific direction with their boxing program.
97k ppvs later and several top level firings and steep budget cuts that direction was the wrong one.

its all about what brings $$$$

Black dudes dont really bring in the money, unless their *******s like broner or mayweather other than that they get the better ROI off killers like kovalev and Mexican fighters.

True but Kovalev aint bringing in names either. Ward is a bigger name than Kovalev and so was Stevenson at the time. No diss to Kovalev, you already know I think he's the best out there, but his promoter aint worth ****. Aint no way GGG should be more known than Kovalev

Ha when HBO had black fighters they nearly made billions. Floyd and Tyson drew for a reason. Even Hopkins would get 300k.

exactly his promoters are ****, its ran by a bunch of females who only got the business out of default/

Thing is about promoters, theirs those like haymon/gbp/k2 who are all about opening new revunue streams and what that means is alot more exposure for their figthers, then you got top ranks/main events/dibella etc who are just happy making the profits out of the fight and events themselves. Top Rank dumb ass has his own top rank girls when tecate is paying him to have their girls theirs, dude is just stubborn (wont use dumb cause we know he aint)

I just find it weird you couldn't wait to hear the purses, and then was a no show for the purse thread, preferring to make many more inane threads like this one.

There's no mystery, HBO prefers guys that never reject proposed opponents, dont spend years in court, and don't demand money incommensurate with drawing ability.
