Nah you missed the point man. I said fight a guy with a couple of good wins under his belt. If Ramirez gets another solid fight then they could fight. I think they are more deserving fighters out there. It wasn't only Ward he turned down, he also turned down a Hopkins fight too. I don't blame him for his division being weak, but unlike Wlad during his reign GGG has some good options that he has not fought for what ever reason. If all those guys turn down a fight then I guess he has no choice but to face Ramirez, but I would rather him defend his title and go for the record.Yes - I'm familiar with the criticism - I already said that. However the Ward fight is gone. That boat has sailed. Given the circumstances as they are now is fighting Zurdo (on the precondition that a MW unifier can't be made) better than fighting Lee / N'Dam or some #20 MW? I think it is. I would prefer Degale (or Jack maybe) but Zurdo is definitely a step in the right direction.
The argument seems to be that since he'd didn't fight Ward at a particular time under a particular set of circumstances he should never venture up to 168 because he'll lose face. Now it might just be me, but that doesn't seem an entirely rational - or even sane - way of conducting a career. Just sayin'.Comment

OK yeah - I hear you. I'm not sure that Hopkins was ever really a serious proposal, but if he's going for SMW I'd prefer Degale over Zurdo, possibly Jack too although I'm far from sold on him, but after those two Zurdo's not a bad option. SMWs pretty thin right now though - and yeah it's a tough one... from the point of view of the guys career GGG should probably continue with his unification quest, however that was the context in which a Zurdo fight was proposed by Loeffler - as a one off if Canelo and Saunders weren't playing anytime soon, followed by a return to 160.Nah you missed the point man. Jacobs is a somewhat worthy opponent. Not a bad fight. Could be fun or could be a one sided demolition.Comment

Yes!!!
I hope they do!!
I'll take Canelo or Jacobs next. Will be great for boxing!
Plus one less damn title either way.
Actually, I guess GGG would have all the belts which leaves only Saunders and Canelo(The RING) left to conquer. Finally a unified champion.Comment

If Canelo is killing himself to make 155, like you all say..... and he could not possibly lose that extra pound to make 154, like you all say.....
..... then, FACT 1: he will not be healthy for 12 rounds..... FACT 2: he will DEFINITELY not be healthy for 12 rounds against Golovkin
Right ?
So, why doesn't Team Bull**** just say fk'it, and blow him out ?
Why not ?
You silly ****s know what up, so stop with your weak excuses and ignorant reasoning.Comment

Somebody tell me why Mendoza suddenly turned quiet about this?
Could Haymon be involved, paying the WBA some $ to turn quiet about this so Jacobs can keep his fake belt, fighting the Moras and possibly Quillin rematch instead of GGG?Comment

He doesn't get a title for beating Jacobs. The regular title goes vacant, Blanco is promotedComment
