Why post without knowing the other sport is correct? you basically shot yourself in the foot...you cannot say whats better or the general meaning of the thread you started when the first case in point screams IDIOT that you posted!

I know one thing I find it posters like you would find it unpleasant if you walked into an actual MMa gym and made those claims...so how about we leave it at that or actually show us those naked guys who roll around and don't do much?

I don't follow ufc that much at all. I'll catch a fight if it's worth it but I don't go out of my way to watch it because it's not my cup of tea or something I grew up on. But the one thing about UFC that it has over boxing is that you always get their best guys fighting each other. That aspect I respect but beside that I just don't like all that wrestling.

Wrestling/grappling is a very effective art...it can neutralize many things and is a science in itself..don't know about you but strangling someone ,thru cutting off circulation to to the brain and immobilizing someone like that or breaking something arm/ankle/..etc.. isn't exactly childs play. Wrerstling is just like a way to survive and more of an outlook on where a fight may go beyond rule regulation in boxing.

          Why does that concern you?

I'm sure you didn't start watching boxing because you admired the financial model (most fighters don't make enough for food and are the legal property of their promoter while the top fighters make 100 million/year).

Nope. Somewhere along the line you ran out of stuff to talk about.

Only real difference in UFC is the gap is smaller. There are less fighters making 10 million per fight but not many of them are going hungry either. Lots of them are "middle class" and make half their income as trainers/off merchandise/etc.

In boxing you're just some guys property until you make it big and become a millionaire. If you don't he dumps you and you end up homeless or in prison. It's not a very admirable system.

Hey I'm not knocking UFC or the grappling/wrestling aspect of it. Hey chocking someone out is fine and whatnot. But it's more fun watching a fighter immobilizing someone with their fist.

Ufc spent millions of dollars and took huge risks to set up its business. They are the reason these fighters even have the opportunity to fight for a living. You have a very skewed and biased vision of how the world works. I'm assuming you are broke and most likely have nothing. If fighters want more money they can take out multi million dollar loans and start their own enterprise.

Theres more k.os in MMA than boxing. boxing also looks cleaner, with the rules. Not every MMA fight is going to look pretty, way to less rules and variables . Of course MMa is not for everyone though its usually the ppl who don't actually study other arts outside of boxing.

I used to think the same, but UFC has grown heavily on me. I don't believe any fight fan could honestly say that don't like UFC if they took the time to get into it.
This. Before I was a boxing only fan until a couple of friends got me watching a few ufc cards. The best fights the best, some simple **** like that interests a fair few!

You may very well be able to beat me in a fight, I don't know you personally. That has nothing to do with which sport is better. Why are you so angry dude? It's almost like my words are getting to you . . .

Some people like boxing and some people like UFC.

And some people like both and those people are called bisexuals.
