Because until recently he was The Man at Sww. Also huge money and exposure, so Ggg would drop a whole division to make it fair. Brook barely has any credentials at WW, never mind 154

Stop being a simpleton. Of course money would be a huge motivator, but the cred he would get for beating Floyd would easily be a huge motivation in itself. I'd care personally what it would do for my legacy more so than the money.

Judging from his last couple of fights, he was still sharp and quick as a cat, easily the best 38 year-old boxer that anyone has ever seen. GGG isn't the youngest cat in the world anymore either, he's already creeping up there in age. And besides, GGG is a small middleweight and has already said he'd drop down to 154 to fight Mayweather, so enough with the size differences.

I am a Kell Brook fan. But good.

Catchweight fights are crap by their very nature.

Easily the best 38 year old, possibly, but far removed from a prime Floyd. Far, far removed.

It's plain to see for anyone who has paid any sort of attention to his career.

Is this controversial? Kell Brook is too small. And he ain't even a big name. Floyd was too small too, but at least he was the man at 154 - the weight GGG offered to face him at, and probably more importantly (from Golovkin's point of view) would have brought a massive payday and name recognition. Kell would just bring ridicule.

So... are folk gonna start saying GGGs ducking Brook now?

So what? He's still the hardest boxer to defeat today, and he isn't nearly as far from his prime as you say he is.
