At least with Floyd you actually saw P4P skill, what the hell was that we saw from Gonzales? A face first flat footed brawler with no defense is P4P #1?!

If you can't see Golovkin's skill then maybe boxing isn't for you. It is very different to Floyd but it's still very skilful at times when he wants to be, the way he's always in position to land shots. There's more to boxing than slick defensive styles.
Tonight was probably the poorest example of both ggg and chocolatitos skills. The both disregarded their opponents punching power and tried to walk through them.

The result of Golovkin vs. Wade was expected If you honestly thought Wade was going to be competitive then I think you are just starting to watch this sport. Gonzalez vs. Arroyo was a very technical clash of styles I enjoyed it very much they both landed good clean shots yet remained disciplined ; you dont really see a lot of flyweights being slick like Arroyo -- it was a change from the typical opponent that RG has faced...and that's good if we can expect the higher weights to have their slick boxers we shouldn't have a problem that they are in the lower weights.

Bute lost his last title fight somehow his get another title shot
The point is that those guys COMPETE on the big stage, and you know they're coming to win. The IBF keeps throwing these unknown guys in with champions and its getting the same result.

Larry thinks only Floyd and all the guys he has beaten are truly skilled.

Seriously tho....it takes a lot to get to that level, that cannot be ignored. Saying they have no skill is disrespectful and an overstatement. It was a poor example of what both are capable of tho. Ggg is either getting old and his skills are eroding or he simply didn't care about his opponent and gonzalez seemed fixated on getting the ko. Both are much more nuanced and better than what they showed tonight. I blame hbo and their ko streak hype...it's got these guys feeling like they gotta live up to it.

You may think you're seeing more skill at your son's gym...but you definitely are not. There are levels to this.
