He did look soft as fk with water bloat. His strikes were accurate though and I don't think he looked old. He sometimes pauses when hit and that's nothing new. He may not have put 100% into training but I don't blame him one bit. Training wears you out just as much as the fights so no need to wear your body down training for a guy you know isn't a threat.

          I noticed the same.
Looked like bloat from water/carbs. Fight day weight is usually done a few hours before so he could have been 171 this afternoon, and ate/drank a ton before the fight this time.

He looked slow in the first round and like a beast in the 2nd. His competition is ruining him. In the past 2 years he's just relied on his power and doesn't show Jack.

I would say he showed some skill against Lemieux. He seems to not take many of his opponents very seriously. To be fair it was a ridiculous mismatch.

i re watched the fight.......golovkin definitely looked more sluggish. he didn't work that jab like with Lemieux nore did he have nearly the speed and explosiveness as he did with Proksa.........go back and watch the first 2 rounds with proksa and then watch this fight and you will see.

i don't see how some can't see it it's clear on video if you watch these fights.

Thats why Canelo should stop wasting time. GGG about to be 35 and then 36 if Canelo keeps postponing. Lets have the fight next in September.

I agree...his feet looked especially heavy, and legs are usually the first thing to go. It could be down to not doing as much sparring in camp and needing a couple rounds to get going, but i guess we won't find out until he gets in with a better opponent.
