Yes, Jacobs was stopped by Pirog 6 years ago and suffered a flash knockdown against Mora. However, GGG doesn't have the upper body movement of Pirog. He doesn't. I don't think GGG can outbox Jacobs, but I do think GGG is open for the overhand right from Jacobs and I also think that during the exchanges, Jacobs will be first. He will land and get GGG's respect which will in turn make Golovkin think about the punches he throws and turn it into a boxing match which he definitely can't win.
If GGG goes for broke, I see him getting caught during the exchanges and I don't think he will be able to corner Jacobs.
Mora is a very awkward fighter; nothing like Golovkin. You have to look at the context of that knockdown that Jacobs suffered. He was going in for a first round KO and got careless. SRL got dropped by Kevin Howard. Weird stuff happens all the time.
That said, I respect GGG to the utmost. He's a very dangerous fighter. Going off that thing called the "eye test", I think Jacobs will exploit GGG's mistakes. I don't see Golovkin being able to outbox Danny or land first during the exchanges. I also think Danny can use his feet to avoid danger.
Only time will tell, but let's hope Loeffler targets Danny after Danny's fight this summer.
Respect to Golovkin, but I see something here folks.
That all sounds fancy but what is going to happen when Danny gets hit with GGG's jab? Do you realise that if Danny can't ice him in the 1st. He's going to be touched. He never showed much of resistance and toughness. Why should I think that he's the first one out there who found out how to improve/train his chin? Thats without saying that you're all wrong with you impressions. It will be same story as we saw it in LeMule fight. Difference will be that Danny will take less jabs but still will go defensive sooner.

Jacobs aint taking what GGG dishes out, sure GGG ain't gonna let Jacobs tee off on him so he can punch in an opening he's gonna fight like he did versus Lmiuex patiently behind the jab, he's shown he can box to a plan or he can completely disregard his opponents power as insignificant like he did Brook and get into a Gatti Ward type gun fight which simply ain't gonna happen against the big punching Jacobs.
GGG's boxing skill is massively underrated and even more so overlooked, the haters know he can box they just do not want to admit it.

I created a thread saying Charlo would stop Williams.
I incorrectly picked Ruiz, Menard and Cuellar.
Those are the only fights I've gotten wrong all year
Oh and I said Charlo would stop Trout, but Charlo still won, so.... yeah

Tough job for haters. Danny is a fine boxer and a nice kid with a good punch.
Pirog was very good and crafty but he was never as highly schooled and such a puncher as Golovkin. Danny started well and flashy and cought Pirog with a couple of shots. Than Pirog figured him out. That was not a lucky punch when Danny went down. He was getting tagged there and ropes helped him stay in another episode before KO. Danny is like that - he gets out and dishes what he's got. If that's not enough than he's in trouble. At the top level that wasn't enough so far for Danny. He also showed that he's not Chaves (old as well as young joke) in terms of chin and wear resistance when that scary mother f$$$ka never been even phased yet alone down in 300+ amateur and all he's professional fights.
Danny may land some. That would not be too often and he will take some. Than it will be over.Last edited by TudorMiron; 12-16-2016, 04:03 PM.
