  • For christ sake. GGG-Ward never would happened when it was a hot topic. Why? Because goosen had Ward on lock and Ward was not fighting anyone due to the law suit he filed against Goosen promotions. So all the talk about the past is irrelevant. The Fight will never happen. And never was going to happen. Its not like Ward was fighting other fighters at the time and not fighting GGG. ward was inactive. So lets focus on the future of both fighters and bouts that actually can be made.

Don't give me that he is from a different country shyt because Pacquiao came over here selling PPV's at a high rate. lil g is fighting bums period.
Pacquiao wasn't PPV until the beat Barrera's ass.

        • I enjoyed it, but it was a free HBO weekend and I wouldn't pay for that fight. We saw what we knew would happen.

Lara - would be a fun fight but I don't see how it's financially possible. Lara is getting 1m for Vanes and GGG just got 2m for this. Realistically were looking at 4m which HBO wouldn't put up and while I'd easily pay for PPV, I don't know how many buys it'd get.

Ward - complete duck by GGG and his team. I'd be more upset but Ward is chasing greatness by fighting Kovalev, and that's more of a 50/50 fight than Ward vs GGG. Ward schools GGG.

Canelo - duck by Canelo and his team.

BJS - duck and I don't even care. Not competitive.

Jacobs - GGG and his team haven't done anything to make this a duck but Jacobs gets smoked.

The MW division is just sad.

Was anybody expecting this fight to turn out any different than it did?

And Ward is going to be the favourite vs Kovalev, who the hell are you trying to kid.

Floyd flirted with disaster by taking on Alvarez, and I doubt that Golovkin isn't any bigger. Only issue with that is that the Alvarez fight was three years ago and there was a clear an obvious slippage in ability between the Floyd that fought Alvarez and the Floyd that fought Berto.

I still think Floyd beats Golovkin, but I don't see why Floyd would even bother with taking the risk (would likely give up 15-20 pounds on fight night, will likely have some rust to deal with after another extended layoff and not looking all that sharp in the Berto fight, a massive drop off in pay for the actual fight, Golovkin still being an unproven commodity so the credit he would get is unclear, etc).
