    Kathy Duva:
The shame of this is that if the [WBC] purse bid had happened when it was supposed to, we would be in a position to bid.”
“But sadly, they pushed it and that’s too bad because I really needed to come here with Sergey, take the time to make the meetings we had, to talk to the people we have talked to,” explained Duva. “We have met with some people who can buy and sell Al Haymon 15 times. We can certainly bring a fight to Russia now. I feel we could do it but we couldn’t do it [then].”

Humm! That sociopath we call Duva, rejected 3 WBC purse bid, rejected the joint PPV idea; but clearly specified since August 2015 if the Kovalev/Stevenson fight is held in Russia, they will be in a position to bid. Not to mention Kovalev still hold that WBC Diamond belt. So according to her words, now is it not the right time to bid?
Why is it so hard to take a minute, just to think of why Kovalev clan are still lying that much.

"Power don't come from a badge or a gun. Power comes from lying. Lying big and getting the whole damn world to play along with you. Once you've got everybody agreeing with what they know in their hearts ain't true you've got 'em by the balls."
I have no doubt in my mind that Kovalev would fight and beat Stevenson. Duva was s desperate to get back on HBO she ****ed him over. But ultimately Klimas is to blame. He's the same manager that can't get Lomachenko a good fight. Promoters work for themselves. As a manager Klimas was supposed to get Kovalev the biggest fight and payday available. He failed.

So they'd rather not show a Kovalev fight leading up to a Kovalev PPV? That makes no sense.

They'd show it, but probably not Monday noon cause nobody watches boxing then

So this is gonna be Lemieux-GGG II? They turned down Lemieux's fight leading into his PPV with GGG. It wasn't guaranteed Lemieux would win and it wasn't guaranteed he would fight GGG. But Kovalev is guaranteed to fight Ward next and damn near guaranteed to win. They should be showing his lead up fight to Ward. It doesn't make any type of business sense.
