Was it " fair " when Team Golovkin lied to us for 3+ years ?

What happened to that " anyone from 154-168 " bull**** ?
Doesn't mean he had to drain himself to 154, then bulk up to 168...then go down again to 155...

    More fair than a 155 CW for Golovkin wich is the same as asking to Ward a 161 CW;

    Right, now " fair " is important.[/QUOTE]

More than ever with all that BS.

I don't know what is so difficult out there to understand.

They clearly don't want to give Canelo ALL the advantages.

Right, so Golovkin is willing to fight lil old feather-fisted Floyd at catchweight, and he is prepared to fight lil Kell Brook at catchweight..... but not Canelo.

And, Golovkin is willing to fight Froch at 172, and yet he needed a a 164lb catchweight to get in there with Ward.

So, despite stating for 3 years that they "can beat anyone from 154-168"..... they are manipulating fighters/weight, depending on the risk... ?

Because..... that is all I have been saying.

It mades sense for Dawson to fight Ward at 168...
          It ruined his career.
It is a risk! But he's not re-inventing the wheel! Those before him had to take risks, and those after him will do the same! Go up, go down. Same risks! That's boxing! 1

but the problem is that Golovkin wants Floyd at 154 but not Canelo when Floyd is a bigger star than both and it's like you can come down for Canelo too if you're willing to for Floyd same rules apply to facing Ward he could easily move up to 168 for and not Chavez Froch or Ramierez that's contradiction because it's not about Canelo's walking around weight it's the fact that he is won that belt from someone who isn't a Middleweight and he has been fight at 154 for how long now

but answer this who was saying Canelo should move up before he beat Cotto no one now me personally I think Canelo needs to face the Charlo twins Williams or Andrade before Golovkin
GGG is not a mandatory for Mayweather but he is a mando for Chickenello's MW lineal belt. Mexican is trying to cash on this belt while beating on glass chin welters (chicken danser Khan). When Canelo is really forced in the ring with GGG he will drop the belt and try to run away to his own 155lb division. Than will start the funny part - Canelo coming overweight and getting away with it. We all saw it already with Junior clounada. I respect Mexican boxing fans who are used to be proud of worriors like Chaves, Barrera, Morales, Marques and many others. How can Mexican fans take those later jokes of a fighters (Junior, Canelo?) seriously?

I disagree about GGG vs Floyd.

Floyd doesn't have the strenght and power to clinch, spoil and keep at bay GGG's ass.
Or maybe a 154 pounds drained zombie like GGG...
GGG hurting 175 pounders with sparring gloves.

GGG has the perfect style to beat Floyd :
Effective agression, shifting, short crisp punches, strong balance, great at cutting off the ring, a strong jab that would totally disturb Floyd.

              This fight wouldn't be competitive.
Agree on that one. If I ever seen prime Floyd having problems that was when Oscar was jabbing at him - that was effective. Unlike Oscar GGG can sustain his attack and is also much better at cutting off the ring. When GGG will start touching Floyd on his shoulders and arms and than chest/body it will be all over for Floyd - that is if GGG can actually make 154 and remain competetive.

Canelo is a p*ssyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I agree with what people have said in the past. He's the next great Mexican atg......bahahahahahahahaha! It's going to be funny when Amir Khan, a rather small welterweight, is going to run circles and make Canelo look like a dunce

The critics don't just want to see GGG take risks, they want him to put himself at the maximum disadvantage possible. To them 154 to 168 means GGG says you name the the purse split, the weight, and the timeline and I'll sign the contract. It has nothing to do with fairness, it's all about maximizing the possibility that he loses by putting him at the greatest disadvantage possible. And they actually expect him to do this to himself.

negotiations dont start until after the Khan fight. Why on earth would they concede anything now before negotiations have even started??

                    Not too bright.......

                      Wrong, as usual.

Negotiations started immediately following the Cotto/Canelo fight.

The WBC ordered the Cotto/Canelo winner to face Golovkin.

The two sides could not come to an agreement on the weight, so the WBC agreed to defer the fight.

                      It was WELL documented.
