GGG could become a superstar by simply taking legit challenges, and a 50 year old man isn't one of them. There's no one at middleweight that looks remotely close to him in terms of class, so 168 should be the natural next move. Ward isn't there anymore so nothing should be stopping him.Last edited by doom_specialist; 04-22-2016, 04:59 PM.

Get a grip.
Canelo will say..... this has been fun, but I am not a middleweight, cya.
What will be hollow and fun, will be Hypekin's excuse for walking away from that MASSIVE payday to kick rocks while sporting a belt that he didn't earn.
It will just be another lame, underwhelming, accolade..... in the career of Gennady "move along, nothing to see here" Golovkin.

Not really fair...
" fair " ?
Was it " fair " when Team Golovkin lied to us for 3+ years ?
What happened to that " anyone from 154-168 " bull**** ?
Was the 164lb catchweight demand for Ward..... " fair " ?
Right, now " fair " is important.

Asking GGG to come down to 155 is just a ridiculous demande.
At least they should say 157, a between 154 and 160...
That's what Hopkins and DH did.
GGG was fighting at 75 Kg /165.4 pounds as an amateur.
If they never tried 154 as a pro or 153/69 Kg as a young amateur, that's for a reason.
Just like Ward probably couldn't make 160 being competitive.
He called out Mayweather at 154..... YESTERDAY !

They were willing to drop to 154 for Mayweather, and to 157 for Brook.
Refusing to negotiate with Canelo makes no sense at all.
They clearly want nothing to do with the lil red kid.

Does GGG keep his level loosing 5 pounds from his confort weight?
It mades sense for Dawson to fight Ward at 168...
It ruined his career.

Floyd is a 147 fighter, so is Brook, so 154 or 157 are CATCHWEIGHTS between 147 and 160.
Canelo is a 155 fighter, with a 160 green belt, so 155 is not a catchweight, this is CANELOWEIGHT.
I don't know what is so difficult out there to understand.
They clearly don't want to give Canelo ALL the advantages.
