You'll get the belt, but you won't get the fight, unless it's @ 155. Which one do you want? The fight and the money, or the belt and a rematch with Martin Murray (or some other b-level fighter)?

He's thinking, "I'm about to fight Amir Khan on PPV and get paid!"

Good question. If Alvarez gave up the middleweight championship, I'm sure Golovkin would still chase him. He's made it no secret that he's looking for paydays. Hell, he's still calling out Mayweather lol

His team is trying to act like they just want the belt, and could care less about the Canelo fight. However they know that if GGG doesn't fight Canelo, chances are he won't become a superstar on the level of Canelo, Cotto, Mayweather, and Pacquiao. Maybe he (GGG) fights B-Hop @ 168 this fall.

Canelo is at the centre of their plans. They are not going anywhere.

                Canelo-GGG isn't a question of 'if', it's a question of 'when'.

Yes. It's also a question of who holds the belts when they meet. My money is on GGG and that this fight will happen in late 2017. Canelo will vacate for sure. The excuse for doing so will be hollow and fun.

This is why I think that if it's necessary to go to 155 for a fight this year, they should do it. Then, if GGG wins, he can say 160 or no rematch. I know it hurts his pride to give concessions, but it's worth it. There's not much else out there @ 160.

GGG can't wait to cash in his next career step aside fee this fall.
