How did Peterson get ranked so high? the guys never fought at 147

Corruption? Incompetence? One or the other I imagine. All the alphabet rankings got f#cked up things going on when you take even the slightest glance at them.

Peterson will not cause any problems for Brook or Spence, firstly he is a drug cheat, secondly he will not have a home advantage, and lastly, he's not a good boxer.

I ain't saying Peterson is some world beater, but he's be the best opponent Spence has fought & he's be the best opponent Brook has fought since Porter at least arguably if someone really likes JoJo Dan. I don't think you pass on Peterson cuz you feel like Spence or Brook would beat him. He's legit one of the best guys ranked by the IBF 147 rankings right now in my eyes.

I don't think those are bad fights. I just wanna see Brook fight anyone respectable higher level guy & while I think Vargas is just over the threshold of that requirement (I think I got him with 4 L's in my record book, but you can't say he isn't tough) he is over it so fair play. And I wanna see Spence keep his upward trajectory til he does get a title shot so Chaves would work there too.

Vargas has a title, which could open more doors for Brook, he would have the most titles at 147, which might entice other bigger names to fight him.

Peterson doesn't offer anything to Brook, he really doesn't deserve a title shot or a payday.

Did you see the IBF rankings? If you haven't take a look & tell me the top 3 compelling fights for Brook you see on that list. I feel Peterson is among the top 3 compelling fights for Brook (outside of other champions of course) along with Spence. Just cuz almost everyone & their mom feels like Brook would beat Peterson it don't make Brook vs Bradley Skeete the go to fight as I suspect it is.
