If only it was just about moving up weight, Pacquiao would be so much higher ATG but it isn't.

So, was Max telling the truth when he said Floyd beat Manny?

Nailed it on Floyd's own confession that he's TBE at the fight game.

Not in the ring, but fighting guys at the right time i.e. when the fight will make the most money for the least risk.

Max Kellerman's logic is ridiculous. I understand the point he's trying to make but it just doesn't hold up. Using his logic you would have to say that Evander Holyfield is the greater fighter pound for pound than Muhammad Ali is. Holyfield started at light heavyweight and eventually became a four time heavyweight champion while Ali was only a 3 time heavyweight champion. Holyfield retired at 49 and was still winning fights into old age while Ali was done at 38. But do we say Holyfield is greater than Ali? No.

Yes, Pacquiao came up from a smaller weight division but he lost twice by KO at the smaller weight divisions. How is he greater than a man who didn't lose in any division? Pacquiao didn't defend his titles at 135, 140, or 154 (really a catchweight of 150). He also never unified at welterweight. Pacquiao cannot be greater than a man who was the unified champion in two divisions, undefeated, who ultimately defeated him when they finally faced off.

What's all the furore for? PAC was considered greater than fkloyd for a long time. So were supposed to believe that changed cos oac got iced by jmm and outpointed by Floyd? When PAC was Fotd he was considered greater so what's really changed?

Kellermsn don't need to defend himself for the same reason anyone who this nks fkloyd is better.

There is no one set criteria of what makes you an ATG. To act like Pacquiao has no argument is disingenuous. If Max gives succes over more wight classes more weight to rate Pacquiao higher, that's his decision and one a lot of people would share. I don't even like Pacquiao but the guy is 5'6'' with a 67'' reach. When he had a noticeable natural size advantage, the guy wasn't even 20 years old, man strength hadn't even kicked in.

Who the fu.ck even suspected Manny could go up to welterweight or superwelterweight and still be a puncher?

With Floyd, he was talking about welterweight since his 130 days. His natural long arms kept him from ever being mismatched physically until 154.
