GGG moving up while being in the cusp of being Undisputed MW Champion and joining the ranks of boxing royalty is the dumbest thing I ever heard and those that keep throwing it around really are bias.
Paul Williams was not massive. He was tall.

You guys need to stop with the tall=big.

Sure, yeah, call whatever you want a duck. As long as you admit Margarito ducked Williams in 2008-2009.
Cool with that. They ducked each other.

In his defense, Golovkin did call out two guys this week. One is retired although so many think he will return which gives some validity. Many think Pacquiao will come back as well and want him in the ring with Crawford. And the other is the guy he will face, eventually. But his public calling out shows some spirit. I mean, these Eastern Europeans. I'm not sure any of them are big on talking. But he is trying to get the fights it sounds like. There are so many things said that it's hard to keep up. Either way, I hope he does get a solid fight pretty soon so a lot of this will stop. He's a talented guy who busts his ass in the gym and in the ring and always gets a knockout. He also looks like a young 34 to me. In this day and age, he should have 5 or 6 good years left. A lot can happen in that time. I'm as anxious as anybody to see him fight the best. I hate marinating and ducking. I believe he can beat any middleweight and I want to see him do it, win, lose or draw to see what he's really made of. I'm ready, but I also have to say he's one of the most ducked guys in the sport. Maybe the RING magazine took that into account when ranking him so highly. And if they do all run scared until he's gone, I don't think that should really be a strike against him. He has no control over that. Hell even Shannon Briggs calling out Wlad a hundred times hasn't gotten him in the ring. It's not always that simple, but admittedly, I wish it were.

Again, Ward is a LHW or Super MW then. GGG is a MW. Ward can make weight comfortable at SMW or LHW. GGG would be outweighed and outsized. I don't think it would be a fair match. I think GGG can win if the fight doesn't turn into a clinch fest. If I would have any guarantee that that's not gonna happen, then yes I'd be happy to make that fight.

He sure wasn't a small guy.

And even in moving up he fought a very selective group of fighters to ease him into the division.

Haters are saying jump and figh one of the best fighters in the world. And when GGG team says they'll work on a fight with Ramirez in the interim people complain and say why didn't he move up to fight Ward. But last I checked Ward turned the fight down not GGG when it was possible.

I don't get upset, I'm sick of him fighting guys like Monroe and Wade myself...I want a fight vs Canelo, Saunders, and Jacobs..then the Degale-Jack unification winner at 168..it's fun watching him fight but it's getting tiring against no hopers...and it's because he's so good as well that these guys are getting blown out. Former champions and top 5 guys he's making look like garbage. Weak divison but still a few decent fights for him there.

I'm pretty once GGG moves up and beats Degale and Ramirez he'll be more than happy to give Ward a crack at his old title.

The real question is, will Ward be willing to take test and come down to SMW.

You just moved the entire goal post there...if he moves up and wins a title there then that time frame would be late 2017 to early 2018....170 would be a good meeting point at that time....
