Money wouldn't be the main motivation for fighting Floyd, the fact that he's the much bigger star and better fighter and is undefeated is. Defeating him would do more for GGG's career and name value than beating Canelo would.

Canelo in his 10th pro fight, was fighting at 147,when he was 17. Golovkin in the amatures was fighting at 140,when he was 18. http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Gennady_Golovkin

DLH is not falling for that again. They have the upper hand and if the WBC threatens to strip canelo, I'm sure he'll gladly relinquish the belt. When you're a superstar like canelo, you don't need belts.
Well they better come to there senses after the Canelo-Khan fight since no contract is going to be signed before then anyway. There ******ity has to vanish after that.

              • How in the hell is CCC gonna get on Canelo for calling out a welterweight when he's doing the same damn thing wanting to fight Floyd?

He'd rather win it in the ring. Born ready Canelo said Sept will work, who would have expected this warrior would turn out to be a common duck

Mando, ******. Also did you not notice Hershman resigned from Hbo, and Haymon running low on money? Follow boxing much?

Lara-GGG would've sold more than GGG-Lemieux. Just like Ward would've been GGG's highest payday and most lucrative fight to date. Lara-Canelo did 300k. Canelo clearly being the A-side and bringing in the majority of fans. But Lara was way more known than Lemieux when they picked him for the PPV. Lemieux previous fight was on Fox Sports 2 and didn't even crack 100k viewers. How do they know Lara wouldn't have settled for less money? How do they know Lara wouldn't have settled for the $1.5 they gave Lemieux? We don't know because they never offered Lara a fight. But I'm sure you'll say Lara's manager never contacted them. When was the last time the A-side didn't pick their opponents? Do you think Canelo waited for Khan to contact him or did they go out and make the fight? Did Ward wait for Kovalev to contact him or did he go out and make the fight? Did SRL wait for Hagler to contact him or did he go out and make the fight? The A-side chooses opponents. And Wade, and Monroe Jr won't cut it.
Lara wouldn't do better, he'd do worse and bring no belt. You know nobody is paying for Lara on ppv, not after the Canelo debacle?
