Better opponent than i expected coming of a pretty bad injury. Happy just hope they keep him active.

Yes! And the division comes back to life! Shame he had to endure such a severe injury but no reason he can't get a fight with Chickenson although I assume Adonis will be quacking around for the next 18 months or so until he packs it in. Beterbiev needs 3 or 4 wins and an eliminator then he can take on the Ward/Kovalev winner in late 2017 hopefully!Comment

I think this is going to do bad ratings on ESPN.
But looking at it from Beterbiev's point of view it's not that bad of an opponent coming off injury and a layoff.Comment

beterbum still trying to get himself in position to fight for one of kovalev's belts even though he turned down a chance to fight kovalev. marketing. what a great thing. this guys a killer this guys a killer! verdejo is a superstar!Comment

He's not bad, even if he did avoid Kovalev.Comment

How many fights did Kovalev take before getting a "real" opponent ? ... 20 ?, 21 ? ... OK ...
You guys are funny thinking he would fight any GYM stable guys with the likes of Fonfara, Oosthuizen, Chilemba, Shabranskyy, Gonzalez, Barrera all there to be taken down before he takes all the titles...Comment

The problem is this is much more like a Friday Night Fights level card, not a PBC card, at least not what we were told these PBC ESPN cards were going to be.
This is what the ESPN head said at the time:
I wouldn't call this a "premier-level primetime fight".
Giiven that the PBC brought about the end of FNF and greatly reduced the amount of live boxing on the ESPN networks, you'd like to see something better.Comment
