This match-up intrigues me. I'm curious to see how Spence deals with the right hand and how Brook deals with Spence's body punching. He might be too big and sharp to clinch like he did with Porter.

You have never actually met him have you ? You are basing your opinion on the fact he is British and you dont like him, not any other thing. Try actually talking to him, he is far , far more intelligent than 99% of the so called fans on here !!

No way in hell was that version of Reid better than Algeri and the fact he was in the top 10 at SMW at the time tells you about the division but ok he beat one guy in the top 10 and it was an old Robin Reid.
Reid was ranked exactly the same place when he fought Calzaghe, #8. And yeah Reid was older, but he was a long standing top 10 SMW, he was #5-8 in 7 years of the 10 years in 1995 to 2005. It was only 2 years that he was not in the top 10.

168 was not as weak as you think. In the mid to late 90s Reid was in a 168 division with prime Jones Jr at the top, Nunn, Malinga, Calzaghe, past it Eubank, Liles. Jones left after 1996. Then in the mid 2000s you had Calzaghe, Kessler, Mundine, Andrade, Green so it really wasn't all that weak.

It's arguably the weakest division in the history of the sport so there's that.

What's your point that he was ranked in the same position in a weaker era? He arguably beat Calzaghe in the 90's it has no bearing on the 2005 version.

You said he beat multiple Top 10 SMW's, so far we've got a 34 year old Robin Reid. Who I automatically assumed wouldn't be in the top 10 at that point in his career but as I said previously that tells you all you need to know about that SMW era.

              13. Fredrick Lawson
              14. Ruslan Provodnikov
              15. Viktor Plotnikov
              See those top 2 names?

              2. Errol Spence Jr.
              3. Konstantin Ponomarev

THOSE guys are fighting each other in a box off to decide who fights Brook next. If Brook duck the winner, THEN he's a duck. See how this formula works my friend?

Yea I understand all that my friend. I'm just saying Brook is having meaningless fight after meaningless fight since he won his belt 20 months ago over Porter. That was a great win, but he's followed that up with garbage. Granted two of those fights were bs IBF mandatory's, but even in his voluntary he picked a bs opponent & now he's looking like he's gonna fight another bs opponent (my guess is Bradley Skeete). Fair play to him if he wants to be the UK Adonis Stevenson, but as a fan of boxing I'd like to see him in an interesting fight. He's a talented guy, I don't hate his chances vs anyone, but he's showing no desire to fight anyone respectable. Hell even Peterson would be a step up for him. Even Ruslan would be more interesting then Skeete.
