    ... Yes, it seems so...
Spence is very good and the Russian is a good product of their school (but he doesn't punch hard enough).

Wow, people actually know who holds regional titles.

I think he has deceptive power to be honest, just doesn't seem to put a lot on to his punches but focuses on punching correctly...Brilliant jab he has..The Mikael Zewski fight reminded me of GGG-Lemiuex and Mikael is a lot better than David.

Watch the Mikael Zewski fight..There he fought a fast power puncher with good reflexes...
That's a strong assumption especially considering that Spence has a better amateur background and the way that he has beat his competition has been hard to surpass (as limited as they were at the time).

I'll check that fight out, but this Ponomo guy seems like he likes to slug it out regardless of his limited punching power. He's wide open to jabs and when throwing combos and way too willing to trade 1 for 1 on punches.

Ortiz had dropped everyone he fought up to Maidana and then dropped him like 3 times...

And Spence is wide open for the straight right....I think it'd be a great fight.

The Russian kid looks good enough to fight Spence. Not sure if he can win it. Let's do it!

If this guy's only hope is a straight right that's not saying much. Its not like Spence is getting tagged with that punch every fight, but from the 2 and 1/2 fights I've seen from ponoma he can and will get countered hard with Spence. So far in this Zeweski fight you told me to watch, that guy seems to throw one big one at a time and gets off balance. Spence throws in combos and is way more sound. But like you said, it could be a good, and we'll see. Hopefully it gets made sooner than later so Spence can hurry up and fight for his belt.

Make it happen next Saturday so we can have Spence put Kell to sleep this year. I'm tired of watching brook fight randoms

I know Solomon isn't a puncher but he's got good skill, he beat guys like Andrade, Danny Garcia, Jessie Vargas, Mike Dallas etc in the ams, he was a big prospect a few years back. I think Ponomarev will be more defensively responsible in this fight, he can use his legs. Against Solomon I think he just didn't feel any power also Solomon would've been hard to outbox, so he was over aggressive and outworked Solomon.

I agree though, if he tries hanging in the pocket against Spence, it's man down. I don't see anyone who isn't mobile beating Spence at 147.
Oh trust me, I was high on Solomon when I saw him on ESPN the first time, like 5 years ago or so. I give Pon a lot of props for beating him and Zewski. But I don't want his growing phase to stop there, I want to see him versus rugged veterans, not #1 rated Welterweights at amateur, and top rated Olympians.

I guess what i'm saying is they can grow separately, versus other veterans and former champs, they don't have to take eachothers 0 right now. Spence's style looks a little more poised than Pon. Pon has some holes in his game that a guy like Spence with 20 wins 17 KO's is not only going to capitalize but also if you are Bob Arum you don't want the kid's potential to get halted with a huge KO loss right now only at 23.

Pon has 6 years fighting, while Spence has only 4, but really Spence looks better right now imo. Pon needs some more rounds vs other names with 5-6 losses.
