What a fight. Ponomarev is a great talent, he can fight at range and in the pocket, he's got good skill, a very good punch output and punch variation. Ponomarev needs to use his feet in this fight, he's good in the pocket, but Spence is just a tank, you can't hang in the pocket with him or it's man down.
This is a very, very good fight. Ponomarev just beat a very awkward, tricky veteran in Solomon clearly.

Not a bad fight at all.
Brook has a voluntary next anyway so if he fights Spence it won't happen until the end of the year. I'm sure Spence will want to stay busy so this isn't a bad fight at all. Ponomarev is pretty good but i think Spence would beat him, but Ponomarev's workrate and style might give Spence a pretty long night.
I'd like to see Spence in with someone more highly rated but this fight isn't bad if the Brook fight will happen.

You guys are saying he's good but he's had 30 fights and is still untelevised. I don't know who the two guy's mentioned as his biggest wins are, and it sounds like these guys were still competitive with him. Maybe this guy is a Johann Duhaupas, solid but unknown, but as of right now I don't know. I'll check him out, but I have a hard time believing his time fighting in the amateurs and fighting unknowns will prepare him for Spence who definitely has a better amateur background and better professional wins in dominating fashion.

That would be a good fight, both are offensive minded guys which makes me favors the guy with the higher grade of firepower in Spence. It won't be easy though and Ponomarev will certainly land his own shots.
