Who claimed anything about Mayorga's power?

The fact remains his chin is made of some sort of strange granite....and Oscar doesn't have a punch that could possibly hurt Mayorga....plus he's intimidated.

His best chance is to survive and use his ballerina skills to try and win a decision. He can't fight Mayorga's fight and win. That's not possible.

One what does Manny Pac have to do with anything. Mayorga has power more than de la hoya. The thing about Ricardo is he throws from wierd angles, and other boxers dont see his hands coming thats the hits that hurt fighters.

            Yeah I caught that one.

I now understand your point....even though I don't agree. Because I think Trinidad was/is a bigger puncher than Manny.

At 160 Tito is a acomulative puncher, not a big puncher.

                Yeah, well.

He was the first person to ever knock the Iron chinned Joppy out and that turned alot of heads. I don't think his power went anywhere whatsoever.

Oscar picked Mayorga for his comeback foil, because he knows he can beat him. De La Hoya is a pin-point boxer/puncher, maybe not as potent in the punching department as Ricardo, but way to skilled for the wild swinging Mayorga. The best opponent 'El Matador' beat was Vernon Forrest and that was only because Vernon couldn't do **** with a bum left shoulder. Mayorga's career was built on only that fight. Oscar has beat 13 world champions, and a legend in Julio Cesar Chavez. My point is Oscar is still the elite fighter he's always been, when he's been beaten it's only because he's fought credible fighters that were better than him. Mayorga couldn't box if his life depended on it, Emanuel Steward tried to train him to box and quite in two days. Mayorga is going to be schooled for 11 rounds, then TKO'd in the 12th. That's my prediction.
