How many times in history a fighter was so avoided?

I'm not talking about people claiming on twitter: "I'd move up to fight him", "I'd move down to fight him". I'm talking about having an entire division scared, worldwide.

How many times really? a fighter was feared this much for so many years?

I can think of Kovalev.. but at least Kovalev was able to fight some names. He could not unify but at least he fought some good names.

    Give some examples please.

Yep, Rigo for example. Such a shame really... he is very good.

Maybe the HW Ortiz will be avoided too... he's for real.

I agree Lara is the most avoided, even the Lil G don't want none at 160.

Rigo is the only one I can say is truly being avoided right now (by both boxers and networks), and for good reason. Having a horribly mismanaged career doesn't help though.
I know of at least two fights Golovkin avoided and he has no problem getting regular opponents.
As far as Kovalev, I don't see anyone avoiding him. We can pretend Stevenson is, but only if you're dense enough to buy what Duva is selling. Kov gets fights too.

Rigo stands alone because guys are fleeing the division to get away from him.

Lara the most avoided? He is avoided but far from the most. If so he would not have been able to fight Canelo and Trout.

I'm not sure Rigo is avoided or badly managed, i think the truth is somewhere in the middle. I'm not saying he isn't avoided by the top guys, he probably is but he's fought about 1 or 2 fighter in the top 50 in the division. I understand the very best fighters in the division might avoid him but i can't see any reason why a top 10-15 guy wouldn't fight him, if they lose, so what? - So even if they cant secure the best fights due to being avoided, i'm sure they can book some better fights than they have been. It's a similar situation with GGG i think. The other champions won't fight him, but the rest will. He's just managed better than Rigo and more exciting so has HBO behind him, so they secure the other fights easier. If Rigo had a better team around him, he would get more regular and better fights easier, but maybe not the other champions.

Luis Ortiz will be avoided. When other fighters and promoters are talking about how they want to fight, he's name is seldom brought up.

Yeah they're accusing career light welterweights of ducking GGG, who started his career at middleweight.

Who would be the career light welterweight? Mayweather? I don't think anyone said Mayweather ducked GGG. Mayweather ducked others, like Lara for example. Or any legit threat at 154. He was a fake champ at 154. Like Cotto and Canelo are/were in 160.
