The funny thing is that if you watched Spence in the amateurs his inability to cut off the ring was probably his biggest flaw. Even in the pros his footwork has looked a bit clunky. Had no problems at all against Algieri though.

Did you guys even read the article? He was asked why he was able to stop Algieri while Pacquiao couldn't. He gave his opinion on why he was able to stop him and he was right.

Timothy Bradley lost Pacquiao #1. He then barely survived Provodnikov who wasn't even a 147lb. fighter. He also got blasted by Vargas in the 12th, and got help from the ref! He then gets a KO of fat, sloppy, soft gut, Brandon Rios, who was also a TR hype job, and then the hype was "Bradley looks totally different with Teddy Atlas." Spence Jr. would run through Bradley and Pacquiao in 8 or less!

if your gonna quote me, atleast read my post.

bradley stops rios, now he thinks he can do the same for manny.

spence stops algieir, now manny lacks fundamental.

                same mind set.

Pacquiao Lacks Fundamentals, Can't Cut Off Ring
Is this really that shocking a thing to say? I've always thought of Manny in a similar way to prime RJJ. RJJ did a TON of **** wrong. But he was so naturally gifted with speed, timing & power he could still overwhelm opposition & to some degree him being a less fundamentals driven type fighter was an advantage in & of itself since it brought an awkwardness to opponents that left them more unsure about what was coming next. Manny jumps around the ring like a 8 year old after two 20oz mountain dews ffs. Him not being the strongest in fundamentals doesn't mean he wasn't/isn't an amazing fighter.

And I can't place early Manny's cutting off the ring ability right now so he may have devolved with it, but I don't think saying Manny doesn't cut off the ring in the most effective way recently is shocking at all. This is a large reason he's not KO'd some of these guys he should've KO'd. Most notably Algieri & Mosley who I was amazed survived even without Manny cutting off the ring.

This, Marquez and Pacquiao went up to 147 to get the big fights and challenge the P4P #1 in Mayweather.

That's basically why I have huge respect for both men.
They aren't afraid to lose and take unreasonable risks.

That being said, both were fighting each other at 130 in their early 30s.
They don't have the physical tools to be GREAT at 147.

They explained us Marquez was too much of a flat footed fighter, now, Manny can't cut off the ring...like we are talking about WW.

I would like to see how much Errol (even Floyd) can cut off the ring against GGG or Ward.

That's hilarious, as a southpaw, Manny has 10 Errol Spence in his little toe.
                      Errol should take easy.

Algieri can't crack an egg (8 kos) and is tailor made for a big puncher.

Spence's size, strenght and power helped him more to walk through Algieri than the so called ATG skills he and his bandwagon fans are talking about on this monday.
