I mean when you look at it like that, it's pretty terrible really.

This guy is getting to the age where most greats are starting to wind down their careers.

I just don't see this dude as anything special, he reminds me of Ottke, or Arthur Abraham (prior to the super 6)

That isn't fair to Abraham who had a great career fought all the top opposition and showed tremendous amount of heart

Name me a MW that beats him.

Name me a prospect who has 4 of the 5 major belts.

I would have loved to have seen him take on some challenges. Hard to say he's mediocre when we haven't seen him in w/ good comp, buy hard to say he's "great" for the same reasons.
Canelo fought Lara (a fight which did nothing for him and was very risky) and lost to Mayweather but did a lot of maturing after that fight.
Would have liked to have seen Genady actually go after fights like Ward and not just talk about it. Go after Ramirez. Even Lara, who is smaller but would at least present a challenge. Don't just mention a lot of names, pick the safest one, and pretend no one wants to fight you.

Truth^. When was Golovkin in with the likes of prime Froch, Ward, etc, etc. I can respect a guy for losing to good comp, because at least he got in there and pursued greatness.

The IBO is not a major belt. If you count the IBO Hearns is a 6 division champ but even he don't claim it. Golovkin has 2 major belts. Devon Alexander has 3 at 26 so let's not say it's special.

Yeah Abraham was 31-0 but unlike Cucklovkin he moved up.

It's funny when people make out Arthurs 160 run as anything special
